Brilliant
A story that will capture your heart and have you holding your breath. Ann Dover is a brilliant narrator. The book was well written. Highly recommend this.

A lovely.....
love storyline during World War II even though it is fiction it could have happened all them years ago. The narrator was very good using different voices for the characters.

Excellent
I have listened to a few of Mary Gibson books, She has become one of my favourite authors, can't wait to start another, she seems to get the history as well as a great story, you can't fail but to enjoy.

interesting book
interesting. i have read a lot of historical novels based around war times but nothing that involved gunner girls. I didn't realise the dangers they experienced whilst trying to live their lives. good story ☺

really enjoyed
I replay bits of the story over and over again. As I enjoyed the Gunner Girl and Fighter Boys, so much. Pick on a whim, ended up such a brilliant listening book.

Great Story, about the saddest of times
Absolutely love Mary Gibson books, probably should have read them in chronological order but it's not a problem. Anne Dover's voice is an easy listen. These books are a fantastic tale of fact & fiction
