so cool
Veta López and Fred are some of the most compelling characters halo has ever produced and are brought to life wonderfully by the talented Scott Brick.
Serving as a direct sequel to last light, this book starts a new crisis for Inspector Lopez and her ferret team with bigger stakes and bigger consequences. The story crosses the keepers of the one freedom led by the brute castor, whose thoughtful demeanor makes him possibly the most dangerous enemy to humanity in the halo universe.
The true threat however, the returning Forerunner Archeon class ancilla known as Intrepid Eye, is less exciting but still allows for some excellent moments that will be interesting to any halo lore fan.

Fantastically Absorbing
Brilliantly absorbing, the story just flows as the pieces come together part detective crime story within the halo universe only helping to expand the Halo narrative
Each character seem almost really in your mind such a performance
Really helps build on the Spartan story, bringing the new Ferret teams in the Halo universe and secret Oni & AI world along with next threat to humanity

Thoroughly enjoyed
Thoroughly enjoyed the second book in the ferret series, going straight on to shadows of reach and divine wind after that. You really get invested in the ferret team as much as you do with more well known characters such as the Spartans in blue team. Well worth a listen.
