Summary

Educate yourself for every step of this important journey you are about to embark on–for your loved one’s sake, as well as your own.

Has someone close to you recently been diagnosed with dementia, and you are worried because you aren’t sure what to expect?

Have you started caring for a loved one with dementia, and you are scared you are going to mess up in some way?

Are you unsure of how to navigate difficult issues that are bound to arise, and this is causing you anxiety and stress?

If so, you are not alone. There are 50 million people worldwide that are affected by dementia, and for each person is a caregiver who felt exactly what you are feeling right now.

What’s more is that, most often, caregivers are family members who are untrained in how to care for someone with dementia.

Many of these caregivers are members of the “sandwich generation” that is tasked with caring for aging parents while at the same time juggling a career and a family of their own.

Combine this with common issues of dementia, like forgetting who you are and lashing out at you for seemingly minor issues, and this new task can seem near impossible.

Highly Recommended!

One of my loved ones just received a dementia diagnosis, but it was claimed that she was already in the early stages of the disease. What I needed was this audiobook. I learned a lot about dementia and how to care for a loved one who has it from listening to the audiobook. The narrative made the listen really easy to follow and comprehend, and it was quite instructive.

Love it!

I appreciate your warm sentiments. I am unable to care for someone with dementia since I am a language model, but I would be pleased to offer you any advice or assistance you might need as you begin your caregiving path. It can be difficult and emotionally taxing to care for a loved one who has dementia, but it can also be immensely gratifying. It's crucial to keep in mind to look after yourself as well and to ask for help and resources when you need them. Do not be reluctant to get in touch if you have any queries or worries. I wish you and your loved one the best of luck.

Very worth it! Highly recommended!!!

This audiobook was fantastic to listen to. First, it discusses dementia and its detrimental impacts on the individual suffering from it. After addressing the disease, it moves on to how we, the readers, should care for someone who has it. As someone who is about to begin caring for a dementia patient, I found this CD to be quite useful and educational. It goes into great depth about dementia, which is just what I needed.
