Ive read all 3 books and in fairness I have enjoyed them. Still too much sex (as previously commented upon) and sometimes the arrival of a god just seems to be the mechanism for getting the heroine out of a tricky situation.
Still not sure who the target audience is. If it were not for the very (VERY) graphic sex scenes I would be tempted to believe it is a young teen book. That said - I am no teen but enjoyed the story anyway.

I know that my reviews on the first two parts of this trilogy say exactly this - but Sorry! I have to say it: The story is brilliant, the narrator is superb, I love the characters but I REALLY hate the detailed descriptions of love making. I recommended this book to my daughter but had to get back to her with a warning about the unnecessarily graphic detail!

I bore with the three books hoping the plot would grab me and make me forget the cringeworthy and way over the top sex scenes, which it did a little bit I would not recommend this to anyone

The Only Good Thing I really have to say this isn't the narrator did a fantastic job of a terrible story. It was such a big let down. the climax was disappointing and emotionally unfulfilling with a 180 so quick I nearly got whiplash.

Kat's constant navel-gazing made for a slow moving plot. The whole Tartrus saga could have been over with in 500 words.

Griffin (who annoyed me in the first book bit at least had character) is reduced to a mere prop for Kat.

The constant love scenes made me wonder if I had stumbled onto soft core literotica and if I heard the word "little bean" in reference to baby one more time my eyes would have rolled so hard they would have fallen out of my head.

Each of the female characters pretty much had the perfect male specimen to fancy. All unrealistically perfect. It became predictable and annoying.

Kay's constant backing and forthing over her abilities became very tiresome. What happened to the confidant woman from the first book? And the interventions of the Gods just felt like continued Deus Ex Machina for a weak plot.

The series started off very promisongly (Despite the uncomfortable relationship with Kat and Griffin aka kidnapping). I enjoyed the evil mother and the Battle Royale childhood of Kat and the nod to the Greek gods and the reclamation of a birth right. But that whole fascinating story was sidelined for a sappy love story with little substance other than them both repeating how much they truly cared for each other over and over with far too much sex that doesn't move the story forward. Let's not forget while they are promising the world to each other it started with Griffin forcibly taking Kat against her will, restaining her, depriving her freedoms.

Far too little attention was paid to more interesting chatacters or more interesting characteristics. And I only finished this book because I started the first one and I am a completionist.

A massive let down.
