About this listen
She secretly has a crush on him. He knows she’s off-limits. What happens if they break all the rules?
Presley Windsor is preparing for the new season of American Ninja Champions, leaving her zero time for anything as frivolous as a boyfriend. When someone posts a picture of her trying on a diamond ring with a mystery man, they assume she’s getting engaged. Instead of telling the public it was all a misunderstanding, Presley’s publicist decides this is the perfect launch for her career and confirms the engagement.
Things escalate quickly, and the network wants to reveal her fiancé on national TV, leaving Presley scrambling to find someone to play the role long enough for the special to air.
Kade Hunter is her brother’s best friend and makes Presley breathless just looking at him. She’s secretly crushed on him, never dreaming he might have a thing for her, too. When he volunteers to be her fake fiancé, Presley keeps reminding herself he’s doing it as a favor to her brother. Everything changes after they kiss under the mistletoe, leaving Presley hoping the magic of Christmas will bring her a real fiancé after all.

Great book
I got this book free with my audo subscription so I was not holding up much hopes to enjoying the whole book.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that I did enjoy everything about the book.
the narrator, the story and characters in the book was great to listen too and well worth a read or listen to if you like romance books.

predictable
quite disappointed because I don't like stories when couples are in love after only a couple of make-out sessions. they may have chemistry but it takes more to build a marriage.

Average,bad ending
An Unexpected Kiss by the same author was better. This one not only had the same drawn out kissing descriptions that got tedious (didn't go beyond kissing),it has a bitter tone for the first 10 chapters there's too much description of emotional pain. This is not helped by them pretending & deceiving his kind family about the engagement that was only for pretend, The original idea of why she needed a fake fiancee drew me in & it was quite creative, but didn't love up to my expectations as the creative twist stopped there.
Add on top of that an ex girlfriend who is mean, pushy & just makes things uncomfortable & super awkward. It does have a few cosy scenes of Christmas activities (the nicest of them being when the ex girlfriend isn't interfering..) but not enough to outweigh all the unpleasantness. I did stick to the end, curious how they would end up together, but wouldn't listen to it again & this book has put me off spending a credit on any of the author's books. Them lusting for each other & not communicating how they felt ,second guessing the other's true feelings was painfully drawn out too much, for almost all the book.Ridiculous drama at the end which is rushed & unrealistic, they get engaged (for real) without ever being on an actual date, they only spent a week together.Loose ends are not tied up.
There are 2 narrators, the male one can't really pull off a good female voice.Female one is okay.
