Deliciously enjoyable
Originally picked this up for a laugh, and I’m a big fan of Heath, but it ended up being incredibly enjoyable and bizarre. Looking forward to the next book in July!

completely blown away
I am huge He How Fights With Monsters fan and this is in the same vain just without the Chuuni angst and overpowered MC.
The whole pacing and style are completely unique however and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. can wait foe the next one.

Brilliant story
Great story. A mix of He Who fights with Monsters and Beware of chicken. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have pre-ordered book 2.

Fantastic first book, pretty chill
Heath Miller is a fantastic VA and it's really nice to hear his narration again. Classic self aware Isekai nonsense with a more chill vibe to it it's a really fun little story and I can't wait to see where it goes next

Perfect slice of life
I love books like this where its about magic but at the same time its just another slice of life. This book is very similar to another book that I enjoy called "Beware of the chicken". Finally it's narrated by Heath Miller and if you know that name you already know how great the book would be.

Just buy it.
Don't be put off by the name, or the cover art: this book is utterly superb. If you're even remotely interested in fantasy, litRPG, or cultivation novels, this is made for you. Can't wait for the next one!

easy listening
loved the book very relaxing and funny great for winding down or switching off and you don't need to like fishing to enjoy its far more about character interaction and development, bring on book 2 please
