Summary
Enemies, lovers, or possibly both? A storm is brewing in the Scottish Highlands.
Hawke is the son of the well-known and respected laird Storm MacKeefe. When the King's chronicler arrives at the castle to record the heroic acts of the MacKeefe Clan, Hawke decides it is time for him to be noticed. But before he can devise a way to get mentioned in the Highland Chronicles, disaster strikes.
A hunting trip turns into a deadly battle, and things go from bad to worse. Hawke is wounded and left for dead, and his grandfather, laird of the clan, is abducted by the enemy. In one final attempt to even the score, Hawke captures the MacNab's daughter when she tries to strip him of his belongings on the battlefield.
Phoebe MacNab starts out on a journey to find the coveted rare herbs that will heal her dying father, but her escorts have other motives. Before she knows it, they've killed and abducted the MacKeefes, and she is taken captive by the enemy. If she doesn't find the herbs she needs and escape soon, her father will die.
However, after one kiss from the handsome Hawke MacKeefe, she starts wondering if she really wants to leave at all.
Will an unexpected attraction between enemies turn hatred into passion? And can one kiss be the catalyst to ending a lifelong feud, or will it only put Hawke and Phoebe in unfavorable graces, turning their own clans against them instead?
From the author of the best-selling series Legendary Bastards of the Crown, Legacy of the Blade, and more comes a brand new series of Highland romance.

Highland Storm
I enjoyed this book immensely. The narration was excellent and spoken very clearly and with Scottish accents. The story of the Highland Storm was told with wars between two clans, with a vast amount of bloodshed. With spies from the one camp befriending the other and becoming part of their clan. Prisoners and captives and a major dirty trick revealed. All in all an excellent book, with all sorts going on, and a lovely wedding at the end. Thank you Miss Rose for the pleasure it gave me.

Great
I was so excited to get back to a family I had fallen in love with. This new generation of the Madmen MacKeffes is even better. This is Hawke's story storm’s son Elizabeth Rose has outdone herself she has filled it with a magnificent cast of characters a strong plot and great dialogue to bring this read together perfectly. Highland Storm will take you through a rollercoaster of emotions, its full of twist and turns that will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat. With an evil web of violence, danger, lies and treachery Hawke will fight to keep Phoebe safe. With their passions building in this heart pounding story full of drama, giggles, secrets, action, trials and tribulations and while the suspense builds and tensions escalate with twist and turns that makes for one outstanding story. I really enjoyed visiting with old friends and meeting new ones I got to briefly revisit Onyx and the rest of the Madmen MacKeefes as they had matured and had become fathers and grandfathers. Hawke had large shoes to fill and he did a great job

Loved it
Loved every minute of it. This is the 1st book of the series Highland Chronicles. It's about Hawke the son of Storm McKeefe. So it's a continuation of all ther other series. The narrator was good. This book is definitely worth a credit

Love it!
I loved the story, and it was made even more enjoyable by the narrator with all of his many different voices. I loved hearing Hawk and Phoebe’s story with all of the accents.
