Summary
Wedding bells are the last thing on 22-two year old Riley Bishop’s mind, but that’s exactly what he hears after waking up in Vegas next to a woman he just met - his new wife.
He never saw her coming, but she might be worth the risk.
Zoey Mitchell is high on life, free-spirited, and adventurous. However, learning she married a rowdy cowboy after a night of partying is not what she expected - even for her.
She’s risking it all, gambling with her heart.
Deciding to give their instant marriage a chance, Zoey moves from her big city life to a small-town Texas ranch. She has to know if their connection is based on more than just a wild one-night stand before announcing to her family that she got hitched.
One moment changes everything - for better or worse - and a secret could destroy them both.
This is a full-length stand-alone novel in the Circle B Ranch series and a spin-off from the Bishop Brothers series. You don’t need to have listened to any of the other books beforehand to enjoy this one!

Yeehaw!
I don't know where they get their ideas for stories, but Kennedy Fox has the right formula for their romances! I am in love with this fun, flirty, passionate book! Zoey and Riley meet in Vegas, and unexpectedly get married. Yes, they were both drunk, yes there was a dare, but now that the deed is done, there are decisions to make. When Zoey comes to the Circle B Ranch to see if the connection she felt with Riley is true, sparks fly and love is in the air. But is it enough for marriage? I fell in love with these characters from the first chapter. Zoey is ordinary and by that I mean she does not need to live in wealth. She sees people for who they are and loves with her whole heart. Riley is just so incredibly sweet, it is impossible not to fall for him. He has a fantastic family, a loyal best friend and a heart of gold. I not only loved these two, but the secondary characters add so much levity and fun, I can only hope we see more of them. This is the best kind of romance and look forward to book 2.
Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola tell this story with an incredible narration. Dexter has a Texas twang to his voice, and he plays the perfect Riley. A little broody at times, but so lovable! Langola as Zoey gives us the emotional tugs and frustration she feels. I loved both of their voices, thought they complimented each other. I loved this team!

Zoey and Riley
Hitching the Cowboy – Kennedy Fox – 4.5 stars
Hitching the Cowboy is book one of the Circle B Ranch series by duo author Kennedy Fox. I listened to the audiobook version of this and boy did this deliver! The narrators Lia Langola and Tor Thom made this story a one day listen and I could not put it down. We’ve met the Bishops before, however, it’s the next generations turn and I could not wait to dive into this series. This book follows Riley all grown up and up to mischief with his best friend Diesel. The pair have an unforgettable night in Vegas that ends with Riley married to Zoey. Zoey is the fun loving, carefree woman who loves city life, however, when she finds herself married to a rowdy cowboy, how can she not give it a chance. The pair share instant chemistry and their story is hilarious, fun and sweet. With secondary characters you fall in love with this made for one of my favourite books for the year. The story is well developed, entertaining and sweet and I loved listening to it! I can’t wait to see Diesel and Rowan’s story and the rest of this series!

Zoey and Riley!
Riley enjoys working on the family ranch but he never thought that taking his buddy to Vegas to celebrate his birthday would forever change life as he knows it.
Zoey is in Vegas to celebrate her sister’s bachelorette party but she never expected that after a few drinks and a dare that she would be the one that was returning home married.
From the moment they meet the chemistry between them is electric but it is when they decide to see if what they have is destined to only be a fling or forever that the fun really begins!
Filled with humor and heat there is no denying that this sweet and sexy cowboy has found his perfect match. I thought that the narrators did a great job of bringing out the humour and heat of the story.

My Thoughts on Hitching the Cowboy
Hitching the Cowboy was such a fun listen for me. I was so wrapped up in the banter and closeness of the Bishop family that it made the hours fly.
Riley and Zoey were pretty much impossible not to love. They may have had instant chemistry and attraction, but there was some real development of their relationship that was good to see. They were hard working, relatable characters and that was an important part of what I liked about the story.
The secondary characters were just as good. All of the Bishop family and their honorary member and Riley's best friend Diesel brought a lot to the storyline. They were always in each other's business with most of them working or living within close proximity of each other but I love those kind of families.
Lia Langola did fantastic job with this story. Her performance never disappoints. Stephen Dexter did a really good job as well. He had a certain gruffness to his tone that I wouldn't mind hearing again in other books.
Overall this one was a winner and I highly recommend it.

An satisfying country romance I got lost in
My first book in Kennedy Fox's Cowboy World and I loved it! From my understanding this is the next gen/spin off the original Bishop Brothers series and I do want to go back to the beginning when I can.
Hitching the Cowboy is a story based around the Hero and heroine meeting on their own trips to Las Vegas and on one drunken night they get hitched! I loved that there wasn't that panic of oh hell what have we done, rush to get an annulment. Zoey sends Riley the annulment papers several weeks later after no contact between them. After Riley returns the papers he is shocked to find Zoey on his doorstep wanting to see if they chemistry they had in Vegas is something worth exploring.
These two had a connection that interested me when they first met in Vegas but seeing them build on that at the ranch was everything a romance book should be about. Seeing their relationship build up into a friendship and then feelings develop from this is they take things back to basics was beautiful. I loved the whole ranch vibe and Riley's family made amazing secondary characters. The story is one you can just relax and take in, an easy read romance that leaves you feeling satisfied.
I was happily listening along in my little Circle B Ranch bubble, swept away by the romance between Riley and Zoey when the bump in the road makes an appearance and my heart dropped when Riley was caught up in it all. Still proving to be the stand up gentlemen he is even while his heart is breaking I loved him even more in that moment. Obviously things all work out in the end and this story left me satisfied from start to finish. Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter did a wonderful job narrating the audiobook and really brought these characters to life for me. A series I will continue to listen too for sure.

4.5 Stars
Re-read on audio increased rating to 4.5 Stars
I loved the Bishop Brother series and finding out there would be a spin off involving the kids always makes me happy.
This was the first book in this series involving the first born child Riley who wakes up married after a trip to Vegas.
Zoey decides not to sign the annulment papers and give their marriage a chance because their is definitely a connection between them, even if they initially only had that one weekend together.
I love the writing of Kennedy Fox. The bishop brothers series is so incredibly cosy and funny, steamy and just the right amount of angst.
I love small town/rancher romances, especially written by this incredible writing duo.
This can be read as a standalone, but I definitely recommend at least reading Taming Him which features Riley's origin story? Stephen Dexter really brings Riley to life and I inhaled this story faster the second time than I did the first.
