Summary
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aurora Rose Reynolds comes the sizzling final installment to the humorous and heart-filled How to Catch an Alpha series.
Anna McAlister needs a new life. But that doesn’t mean she needs a new man. After leaving her fiancé and Chicago behind, she promises herself no dating until she finds what she’s looking for. But meeting one seriously hot and determined detective has her questioning herself.
Calvin Miller is that detective, and he’s been burned by women in the past. It’s easy for him to sleep alone and focus on his work, but the moment he lays eyes on Anna, he starts imagining sexy nights with her wrapped in his sheets. Maybe it’s time to get back out there.
But just as the attraction between them begins to sizzle, Anna’s past shows up to create trouble. And to make matters worse, a string of murders forces Calvin to juggle his new relationship and his career. His worst fear? That the two are somehow connected.
Can they find love together, or will her past and his duty sink their hopes?

Sweet romance
I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first two in the series. But I did really like Anna, she was going after something to make her happy and was brave enough to leave everything behind in order to try and find it.
It took me a while to like Calvin, he came across as a bit brash and rude, even with Anna. His bossing her around and alpha-ness didn't come across as cute and protective like it did with the previous books in the series. I felt like he even belittled her sometimes.
I would have loved to have seen more of Calvin's family, they seemed really interesting but after being introduced to them, we never see them again. I was also not expecting the case Calvin was working on to take on such a huge part of the ending when it had only been in the background as being part of him job up until then, there was no clue to this at all until it happened.
I loved the golden girls, they were great fun and could probably have a book on their own with their antics.
I think the ending felt a little rushed, mostly because of Calvin case becoming a larger part of the story.
Overall an enjoyable book, but not my favourite of the series.
The narrators did a great job, switching POV over several chapters. Both voices were interesting to list to and I would listen to books by them again.

I didn't hate this. It was cute and things, but something was missing. I think if the enemies in this enemies to overs story lasted a tiny bit longer, maybe...But I loved the writing style and I loved the narrators of the audiobook. Calvin was the kind of Alpha I've almost come to expect from this author. Anna is okay.
