I had my fair share of short listen and I know we can't ask much, specially, when was this short. But everything was so instant, insta-love, insta-atraction, insta-relantionship and way too much s*x. It wasn't bad, just not memorable.

This is the first time I listen to Nick Hudson and I enjoyed. I couldn't distinguish the characters all the time, but the two main characters were quite distinguishable and the female voices too. His pacing is good and his acting too

I'm doing this series out of order, so I already knew that Ben and Tristan would get a happy ever after, but it was great to see HOW they got there!

I loved them in Bodyguard (book 3), and in Prince (book one, but not finished that yet!) and I knew then I wanted their story, I just didn't realise there was one!

My only niggle, and it really is me being petty, is that its so bloody SHORT!! 1 hour and 26 minutes, 49 pages, one morning cleaning and it was done! I just wanted more!

Its a bit steamy, and so incredibly sweet. Its a bit emotional (but no real drama or angst) and so warm and fuzzies!

Nick Hudson narrates, and he does a cracking job. His voices are clear and different, with me not having any trouble keeping up. His reading voice is deep and even and this narrator is growing on me, rapidly!

A thoroughly enjoyable 90 minute listen, I just wish it was longer!

I didn't start the Chester Falls series with this prequel, but have loved every book in the series, so it was great to back up and kind of see how things started. I adore books about nerdy bookworms and bookstore owners so this was right up my alley. The two characters were great for each other, the romance was hot and as always with Ana Ashley she knows how to end a story perfectly. Her last chapters and epilogs always make me sigh, smile and close the book with a sense of warmth and comfort. Nick Hudson is the perfect narrator for this series. He has the right mix of emotional depth and lightness the stories require. It just sounds like he is having a ball performing these.

I have a big complaint about this one: it’s too darn short. Yes, I knew going in that it was only a short story but that didn’t make it any easier when it ended. Sometimes novellas are tough for readers who like to submerge themselves in literary worlds.

The story, while quick, provides valuable insight into Tristan and Ben (& Ellie too), as a good prequel does. However, I missed the meat of the storytelling I’ve come to know Ana Ashley’s writing for.

As always, Nick Hudson’s narration is top-notch (& his accent divine).

How to Catch a Bookworm is the first book I've listened to performed by Nick Hudson. I think he did a really good job. His different voices made it easy to distinguish the various characters. I had to speed his voice up but there are other narrators that I have to do the same thing with so I don't think it's a concern.

This book is only 1 hour and 26 minutes long so I didn't expect a lot of character development. I haven't read the other books in this series so this was a nice introduction for me. It's an insta-love story but I don't mind those. I thought it was really cute how Ben and Tristan's friends worked to get them together.

I would definitely listen to more books performed by Nick Hudson and I like Ana Ashley's writing. I hope to give the other books in this series a try soon.

A cute short story in the Chester Falls series - the prequel really.
Ben and Tristan are a fun and hot couple. When they meet at a club, it's insta-lust. The rest ost of the story is about them moving beyond the instant attraction.
Nick Hudson dies a great job, as always! He's been really good for the series. Enjoyed the audiobook a lot!

I admit I love Chester Falls. A picturesque New England town that is very LGBTQ friendly. There’s something charming about that, especially in the world we’re currently enduring. I’ve listened to all the Chester Falls books, and I have to admit this one started a bit differently. Like with a bang. A literal one. In the bathroom of a gay club. A well-used incident, to be sure, but one that works in this case.

Tristan has just discovered his jerk boyfriend is not into fidelity and he’s hurt. He probably saw this coming, but that doesn’t lessen the pain. He drives around until finally winding up at a gay bar far out of the new town he’s just settled in. A quick bang with a cute guy in the bathroom? Just what he needs to feel better.

Except it leaves him feeling empty and wondering about the adorable guy he’s been with. He gave the guy his number, but the guy never called. Still, Tristan is doing his best to settle into his new job and even attends his friend Hannah’s party where she is with her girlfriend Ellie. These two lesbians appear later in the series and I loved watching their relationship blossom and thrive.

Anyway, it isn’t until Tristan meets up with the bookish guy that the pieces fall into place and Ellie, meddling woman that she is, ensures her boss Ben and the man he’s obviously attracted to get some quality alone time. Forced proximity, if only for a short time.

There are other characters who appear later in the series who pop in but the story truly focuses on the two men and whether they can overcome their hesitations to commit to each other.

I’ll give a shout out to Nick Hudson who is doing a fantastic job of narrating the series. He just suits it perfectly. If you haven’t tried these, this audio is a great short and fun introduction to the town and its inhabitants. And hopefully you’ll want to go on and read the rest of the books.
