One of the most entertaining and interesting books I’ve listened to this year.

Very funny (in a wry and dry way) and although the ending didn’t surprise me at all (and I had some significant frustrations in relation to Grace in this regard) it is still well worth listening to!

Narration was okay. I’ve heard better, and felt the male voice was an odd choice, but still very listenable.

Despite the ending…

Definitely not funny … it was a bit cliche and there wasn’t a lot of depth so the story

I really enjoyed this book, having seen Bella advertising it on Instagram.
I enjoyed being part of the main character’s journey to ‘make things right’ from the past. I did not see the twist coming and that was a great surprise, however, it was disappointing not to hear back from our lead after this huge twist…

An entertaining listen

Oh what a fantastic book. Hilariously funny in places but such a good listen.
I really hope this isn't the last we see of Grace.
Well done Bella. I'm just sad I've now finished it

Just Brilliant

This was such a fantastic listen! It’s bitchy, smart and laugh out loud funny whilst also cataloguing in detail the grizzly actions of our protagonist.
The narrator for Grace fit her perfectly.
The second narrator was jarring as the sudden change wasn’t expected, but when he gets going he’s also fab.
Loved this book, more please!

I actually liked 90% of the book and thought it was well written and performed. But I was left dissatisfied by the ending. No spoilers but I felt no small disappointment in how it was all tied up.

Great story to read while running. I love Mackie's writing and enjoyed hearing the inner thoughts of Grace - little bits of Mackie's real life can be found in the story, which I think is fun. Interesting social commentary without being to deep/dark. If you like Mackie's other work, you will like this too!
