Summary
Meditation makes you more productive because it lets you earn back time. For each minute you spend meditating, you'll earn around nine minutes back, as Chris Bailey - author of The Productivity Project and Hyperfocus - will show in this candid and counter-intuitive guide to the productivity benefits of meditation.
How to Train Your Mind digs deep into the practical, tactical benefits of a meditation practice - and how to integrate a meditation ritual into your own life. In addition to calming your mind and allowing you to slow down in an overanxious world, research shows that meditation can de-stimulate your mind so you can think more clearly, procrastinate less, and be more effective at everything you do - at work and at home.
Featuring guided meditations designed to fit your busy, unpredictable schedule, How to Train Your Mind is the ideal guide for anyone looking to improve productivity without sacrificing time. While much has been written about the spiritual and intangible benefits of meditation, as far as our productivity is concerned, meditation is in a league all its own.

A clear and helpful guide - best so fa
I liked Chris approach, it give the novice an entry point, an overview and a motivation to start. This subject is complicated and many will give up before making progress. There is a real need to more books like this for people to follow.
Hyper force is my next read from Chris as you go further down the rabbit hole.
Thanks Chris

Good listen, a little repetitive
A little repetitive but I’m guessing that’s what you need to get the point through to train and refocus your mind. Some great tips that I’m putting into practice already and enjoy the practice mediation in this too.

A easy and practical
This book really was a pleasure to listen to. So we’ll written and read by the author.
It focused on the practical benefits of meditation (and there are many!), without putting off any listeners who would not appreciate a more ‘spiritual’ approach.
Chris Bailey comes across as genuine and authentic and shares his wisdom at a tempo that is calming and easy to comprehend.
I think I’d recommend this book to anyone and everyone because I think it can benefit anyone and everyone.

Perfect to learn/be introduced to meditation
Was such a pleasure listening to, and really gave me a foundational motivation for meditating with a deeper understanding of why I want to do it.

Loved it. Better than expected
It is shocking that nobody has put these points across before and so well. The entire book is so understandable and relatable.
I feel I have invested my time very well with this one
Yes I called it a book. (In joke)

Highly recommened for anyone with a busy mind.
I consider this 'retreat' as a deliciously serendipitous discovery. I was 'idly' browsing for a book which could help me manage my busy workload and mind - this is that book. I listened to it over several days whilst on vacation - walking and relaxing. I completed the (very short) guided meditations which were an excellent introduction and motivator for my own practice. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the wisdom, guidance and insight. It's up to me now to keep it up - which I am sure I will as the author gives solid advice on how to do this (just 2 mins a day is all it takes). Highly recommended for anyone with a busy mind and looking for life enrichment.

Short and sharp
I know the benefits of mindfulness and breath meditation. I just don’t do it consistently. Glad I listened to this little book. I have some renewed motivation to add it in during good times and difficult times.
