Summary

When self-ambition becomes a horror noire, victims need vision....

Young high-school grad Imtiyaaz is eager to leave her life in Indonesia behind. She’s always coveted employment abroad, and, at last, the perfect opportunity presents, as suggested by a colleague. Rich with opportunities in the "hospitality" field, Dubai, she’s told, is a journey worth taking. An offer with a chance for hire soon follows, and, finally, Imtiyaaz is free to part with her unhappy father.

Imtiyaaz is over the moon, but it becomes clear, upon arrival, that her new station isn’t what she’d imagined. In fact, few bleaker fates undone could be fathomed under the scorching sun.

Unwittingly indentured, Imtiyaaz finds herself the "property" of a ruthless trafficking ring of criminals and captives. Identification seized, she faces an impossible decision: perform unspeakable acts...or risk her life in attempting escape. Complicit authorities will be of no help, and, without a single friend in the Middle Eastern lands, Imtiyaaz is truly alone.

Can one of many enslaved girls defy the odds and beat the heinous house?

The stuff to snap one’s heartstrings....

With an ever-growing body of work that demands real-world dissection, Eric Reese knows balance well in revealing inconvenient truths.

Truthmarked by realistic harem truths offset by this young Muslim woman's hope engender haunting beauty....

So sad

A story that gave me chills. It's hard to believe that these things happen in this day and age but they do. Although it was only a short book it fitted so much story in. A sad story but on a subject we all need educating more on. I was given a copy for review.

Important subject

I gave it 5 stars because it is important that human trafficking is highlighted and taken seriously. There is a lot of room for improvement as to how this story it written and narrarated as I found the story hard to follow at times.

Left wanting more.

This was a well written story but at less than two hours long I was left wanting more. I ran out of audio before I ran out of energy whilst out exercising which was disappointing. This could easily be expanded to a full length audio-book without detriment to the storyline. The narrator did an exceptional job and was eloquent and pleasing on the ears. Overall a good story well told.
