Professor Horowitz takes us on a journey into the mind, and experiences, of our closest companions, delivering the fruit of decades of research into canine cognition through the lens of her beloved pup, in a way that is highly informative, whilst being engaging, and endearing.
There really is no other book on the canine mind that comes close to the width and depth of information, whilst remaining entirely accessible to anyone with a passion for dogs.
As regards the audiobook version, the narrator does a smashing job of being emotive without getting overly sentimental, the recording quality is nice and clear, and I found (with a hearing impairment, and delayed audio processing issues) the speed of delivery just right, remaining easy to follow throughout.
All told, I really cannot recommend this book too highly, I have both the audio and paperback, and gift it frequently to the dog lovers in my life!
Education, entertaining, & engaging

What did you like most about Inside of a Dog?
This is an extremely interesting audio book. Really well narrated. It was surprisingly engaging and informative and promised to get me looking at my dogs differently. It succeeded in this. The book is intentionally quite amusing in places.Any additional comments?
Any dog owner would benefit from this. It will help you get some understanding of why your dog behaves the way it does and give you some idea about how to influence it. It is not a training guide thoughA must for dog owners
