Nice story well written, some drama, some twists, some violence, some tears but the goodies came through at the end. The only downer for me personally was the narrator who had an odd twang to his voice but others may not object and it wasn't bad enough to spoil the listen

I have read all of the Joe Dillard series, so thought I would try these. This story kept me listening all day. Whilst I was slightly disappointed by the way the story was resolved I still enjoyed it and will listen to the others in the series. I don’t understand why Scott Pratt isn’t more popular, he’s on a par with Grisham.

A fully comprehensive tale. You don't feel a desire to know what happens next at the conclusion of the court case because you're taken on that journey also. A very interesting journey and I look forward to the next story. The journey will hopefully be as epic and enjoyable.

Totally Substantive and Enthralling Legal Stoy

This book starts off about a young man Darren Street trying to improve himself spurred on by the wrongful conviction of his uncle and his efforts to get justice so he decides to become a defense lawyer. He takes on the justice department and he fights to get justice and succeeds. He earns himself quite the reputation for being tough and it helps His practice.

when a prospective new client offers him $50K to defend him on what looks like a low level crime, he accepts then as the details of this so called new client’s crimes are divulged Darren wants out - the client tries to blackmail him and threatens his young Son that’s when all his hard work comes back to bite him when he ends up this time accused of murder in a cruel twist the ada on the case for the prosecution is the one that Darren took on and won regarding his uncle. The ADA is out for revenge and will stops at nothing to make sure history repeats itself and that Darren ends up just like his uncle.......
