About this listen

The Savage Wars never ended.

As Kill Team Victory and General Chhun take control of the cities on Kima, a war every bit as spiritual as it is physical rages in the deepest parts of galaxy’s edge.

The Legion and the Republic military at large struggle to deal with a sudden multitude of planetary invasions and uprisings, with rumors of mysterious ships breaking the peace achieved by Article Nineteen.

Meanwhile, Captain Aeson Keel continues his search for Prisma, aided by friends from both his past and present. But only mankind’s oldest ally can hold back the tide of ultimate destruction. For an unknown darkness is closing in, and the Republic once again stands on the threshold of galactic war.

Join us for this, the first entry in the thrilling two-part conclusion to Galaxy's Edge Season 2!

Includes a special note from the author.

Loved every minute of this series … now the wait for part 2. I’m super excited to see how the climactic conclusion will unfold.

Gap filling story - 2 hours of interview at end

Story was enticing and is very much building up to something big. We dropped in on most of the main charachters in some form or other, but none of them really got to shine in this book. There was a lot of filling in the gaps which I appreciated but I was left a little unfulfilled by the end. Im looking forward to the next book however.

Please note the last 2 hours are interviews so the book is actually pretty short.

Not long enough

Story, performance and characters are amazing.
The only negative is the length thankfully I waited for part 2 until started the book.

The characters are all coming together and the story linking all its parts, interlocking nicely.

It felt unfinished

Long time listening on my second run through of the series. I really enjoyed the performance, as always well read. However, it felt unfinished. Story lines which are forgotten or passed over, Events that feature heavily in the beginning are not explained again or no conclusion provided.

This is something the authors admit to in the round table at the end. They had to cut large scenes out so that it could be recorded. While some background might be provided in the next instalment, this is 4 months away..

I just wish there was more.

An intro not a book

I have thoroughly enjoyed the series, this book included, just feel they are getting shorter and shorter with less time on the main core characters and instead developing other characters further. I like the development of them all but in a shorter book it purely feels like updates on their highlights.

Good but so much fluff.

Too much filler could have easily halfed the book and made it more snappy. Not much happens

Good story a bit short leaves a bitter taste

The story and performance are very good, the 2 hours at the end with the authors is a waste that leaves you feeling ripped off for that time. My suggestion is move those onto your website and don't artificially expand the book time with this.

Back on track

Thought perhaps the last book or so was a bit washed out and didn't really have much momentum per se, glad to say this book was a lot like the first series, engrossing and with a direction and storyline that looks to set up a good next book....No pressure Mr Anspach and Mr Cole !!!
