Summary
After yet another failure on the London dating scene, Kate escapes to the idyllic Exmoor village of Bursford and her "Cinderella Project" renovating a run-down cottage on the edge of the moors.
Hopes of a quiet retreat are thwarted, however; in a village seething with intrigues, a new female face attracts a lot of attention. She becomes entangled with local landowners the Blackmores - in particular brooding Ed, his divorced playboy brother Jack, and their flighty stepmother, Camilla. Something is rotten in the estate of the Blackmores, and Kate’s unwilling involvement threatens both her peace of mind and her safety. Will she be forced to flee back to London, or can she prevail and find a new life of rural serenity?

Good Holiday Read but Predictable
If you could sum up Kate's Progress in three words, what would they be?
Mills and Boon
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Predictable
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
London Girl gets County Hunk
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed listening to it, but it has made me wary of buying audio books with purely romantic lines. The end was too predictable before half way through.

Entertaining & engaging
I love the witty and clever Bill Slider novels so tried this and what a find - as ever she develops character and dialogue effortlessly so that you’re quickly drawn into an entertaining plot . This was so well narrated , really added to the novel , every character drawn so well .
