Summary

The seventh instalment in the biggest, funniest, most thrilling comedy-horror-adventure series in the universe…

Magic is a disease.

Across the land, normal people are suddenly developing wild and unstable powers. Infected by a rare strain of magic, they are unwittingly endangering their own lives and the lives of the people around them. Terrified and confused, their only hope lies with the Sanctuary. Skulduggery Pleasant and Valkyrie Cain are needed now more than ever.

And then there’s the small matter of Kitana. A normal teenage girl who, along with her normal teenage friends, becomes infected. Becomes powerful. Becomes corrupted. Wielding the magic of gods, they’re set to tear the city apart unless someone stands up against them.

Looks like it’s going to be another one of those days…

superb as always, shocking twist in the epilogue

we always enjoy skullduggery pleasant and this was no exception. I find the violence a bit too much but it doesn't bother my girls at all!

Brilliant

Some of the voices weren't how I imagined but some came off well. Good in general and the story was excellent.

Another hit in a superb series

Can never understate how much I love this series and each time I revisit them I find more details I missed before. A truly incredible story that works well on its own as well as part of the collection.

The new book in the trilogy of trilogies

Now of course all Skulduggery books should get five stars by default, but I felt that with this outing Derek wanted to cram too many new ideas into one book. It loses a star for being so full of overlapping plot points that by the end I thought I still had a couple of hours to go because I had forgotten what the actual plot of this book was. None the less while not being perfect this is definitely a brilliant set up for the chaos that is going to be the Darquesse trilogy.

Another outstanding dark adventure

I can't get enough of these Skulduggery novels, they're the perfect thing to have on when pottering in the garden or stuck in traffic.
The story is a good one though I had a feeling that a little too much material was included in this one, but that's a good complaint to make.
Those who have avidly devoured their way through the previous 6 will enjoy this one immensely. If you haven't I envy you a delicious journey into a fantastic, crazy, action packed world.

Fantastic, can't wait for the next!

A fabulous edition to the Skulduggery Pleasant series and probably my favorite so far. If you're familiar with the series you'll know what to expect: Fast paced, edgy and witty. But you're in for a few surprises too...

If you're a newcomer to the series, you might still enjoy it, but the plot relies heavily on familiarity with events in previous books, so I highly recommend starting from the beginning.

This is the first SP book I have on audio book, so I can't compare narration. But Stephen Hogan did an excellent job capturing the character's personalities and emotions (Lenka's voice is adorable!). I certainly wouldn't mind listening to the other audio books.

All in all, anther great book in a great series. The only problem is it'll leave you craving another.

Great, as ever

Derek Land is great but Stephen Hogan makes the audible experience just fantastic. Even if you have read the books I would go over it again in audible, just for the Hogan Experience
