Summary
Piss off the hot farmer? Find out I'll be living in a funeral home? Meet my pet pig Petunia? Day one in town proved one thing: I'm screwed.
Welcome to Mudville, home of Kissing Books, a stand-alone, small-town, opposites attract, fish out of water romantic comedy with lots of kissing (and other things), a cocky farmer, a sassy misplaced heroine with too many animals, some crazy locals, a decades' old mystery, and a very happy ending for all of them!

enjoyable quick listen
Cute, sweet, small-town romance. Both MCs were great. Awful title until you realize its significance but even then I would rename it. Looking forward to continuing on with the series. I am pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this, I haven't liked her military/romantic suspense books.
The narration was also good.

Nice change from the military Cat Johnson books
This was actually one of my favorite Cat Johnson books (so far). I especially liked the diary excerpts with a touch of history. The characters are interesting and I hope this is part of a series because I'd like to explore more of the characters. Hot farmers are as interesting as hot SEALs.
The narration was fabulous. I wasn't familiar with Ann Russek or Craig A Hart, but they were both great. I always appreciate dual narrators for dual POV.

A fun, quirky story that’ll make you smile!
Definitely a happy read/listen - fun, witty, fabulous characters all set in a small town with a supporting cast of animals, seriously what’s not to like?
Harper is a romantic author house sitting for her eccentric great aunt, Stone is a farmer and the sparks between them fly from the start, opposites definitely attract. Throw in a quirky house, historic papers & secrets and small town life and you have a perfectly written flowing story that will put a smile on your face.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, narration was perfect and I will definitely reading or listening to the rest of the series.

More kissing, please
This was a wonderful audiobook and exactly what I needed to keep the world at bay. Small town, cute grumpy hero and a book writing, sassy heroine. It's sweet and light, funny and has a few animal incidents, and a lot of old secrets being revealed. I'm ready for more.
