Summary

Annalise Avery would rather run away than marry the despicable man her stepfather has chosen for her. All he wants is her fortune anyway. Escaping with two servants, Annalise takes employment at Lord Gardiner's town house, disguised as a housekeeper. Not as funny as other Barbara Metzger books but sweet and well narrated. I enjoyed it but won't keep it.
