Summary
The penultimate book in Rosie Clarkes bestselling Mulberry Lane series! - times are changing...
Life on the Lane is made up of laughter, love and tears.
London, 1961
With Mulberry Lane's favourite pub, The Pig & Whistle undergoing renovation, proprietors Peggy and Able Ronoscki leave the chaos behind and head off on a trip of a lifetime to America. But disaster hits and Peggy finds herself in a critical condition in hospital.
Meanwhile, business is booming for young entrepreneurs Fay Ronoscki and Maggie Rowan with their new restaurant and catering empire. It seems neither has time for love.
But when fate throws a famous global singing sensation and glamourous racing car driver into the girls paths, falling in love with Jace and Greg seems beyond their control. Cupid has struck.
What is next for the folk of Mulberry Lane - can they find the happiness they all so crave?
A heart-warming saga following the lives and loves of those who live on Mulberry Lane in London’s East End.
Perfect for fans of Lizzie Lane, Fenella J Miller and Patricia McBride
Have you tried Rosie Clarke’s Harpers Emporium, Dressmakers Alley or Blackberry Farm series – you’ll just love them!

I found harsh accents grating
story was OK but not as good as some of the previous ones. Narrator OK only. Ruined for me with unnecessary harsh accents and dreadful dropping of tt s. in my experience London people pronounce Ts quite well. Also tone of voices was strident and frankly 'rough'. You can do working class London 1960s without stooping to the lowest denominator.

Not as good as the previous books in this series.
I thoroughly enjoyed all the previous books in this series and I was looking forward to this latest one.
I was disappointed and found it not nearly as good as the previous books.
I found it didn’t include many story lines on a lot of the previous characters.
I also thought the ending was very rushed.

Life and love
Good that narrator could speak different characters but some she spoke painfully slow… love the story & conclusion will there be a next one? 😊

Great series of books
I really hope the series continues, really have enjoyed it. The narrator is a bit up and down but you do really get used to her.

Love mulberry lane
Thank you Rosie Clark for the latest chapter of the characters of mulberry lane. Every time I listen to one of these books i feel that i actually live there myself as they have become my family. I suppose we have come to the end if the road now. I actually started baking as a result of listening to the vey fist book and the wonderful cakes Peggy made
All u can say to anyone reading this review is start with book 1. And enjoy. And Rosie don’t ever stop writing.
And Polly excellent story telling bringing characters to life

repetative
So sorry but couldn't listen past the first few chapters. I found it so repetative, with previous story lines being slipped in at every opportunity. I'm afraid I also found the accents grating. I have listened to all of the other books in this series and was looking forwards to this one but unfortunately was sadly disappointed.

The storyline....
wasn't as good as some of the other Mulberry Lane books. Not much happened within the book, so I was a bit disappointed with it. It is as though the author just wanted to tie up a few loose ends from the previous books, so she decided to write another one instead of writing it into the previous book. The narrator was ok, but I have heard better.
