This had me cackling with laughter SO many times!! I always love the dry humour, and cringe scenarios that Lindsey puts into all of her books, and this one had it in spades. Two immediately likeable main characters, and a very colourful supporting cast of the supportive through to eccentric and likely to be embarrassing family & friends that Lindsey writes so well.
Funny and Romantic, with a little passion thrown in, this is a brilliant book, and definitely one for my relisten many times list. Brilliantly narrated by Kristin Atherton, who narrates a huge range of female and male voices and accents superbly.
What more can I say? I loved this so, so much! 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

KA’s narration is superb, it really brings Sophie’s thoughts & emotions to life. The plot was full of book world Easter eggs & the romance story was so much fun. Loved it all.

This book has everything from humour, warmth, passion whilst sensitively writing about the book world and the snobbery which is associated with romance books. Creatively narrated (the best males voice impression I have listened to) I loved this book and the writing within it. Straight on to find another book by the same author.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. It has restored my faith in listening to romance audiobooks. I had gone through a rough patch recently, where I had all but given up hope of finding something that didn’t feel repetitive or over explained or really predictable. Looking forward to listening to some more Lindsey Kelk now that I’ve found her again!!
