Summary

The secrets of Kingfall's mage prison, Lockspell, have been buried for far too long. WOW!
WOW! I swear every new David Estes book is even better than the previous one, even though it seems that couldn’t be possible. This was an epic and gripping read; this book is an amazing story in its own right, and also a fantastic addition to the series.

Great listen
I am still loving the series and it hasn’t lost my interest despite being the third in the series - roll on the next one as I can’t wait to hear what happens

Don't bother with this series.
I just gave up caring entirely after the last chapter.
Plot device out of nowhere? Check.
No actual progression or reveal of what the main story is about? Check.
Characters being inconsistent? Check.
Lastly, another authors note which implores you to indulge him about the story and a dire warning. Which is pretty much a non plot point as it has a slight effect on a minor character.
All in all, it's the third book in the series of side quests about too many characters and too much history with no point.
Note to author: your interludes are pointless and basically filler. You should have planned the actual plot out better instead of writing backstory and parental history of characters. Did you get caught up in that instead of telling a story and slowly revealing what the dire problem coming up is?

Never-ending story
The first book was fantastic, a really well-paced story. The second held up well, but the third felt like it had a lot of extra content. It reminded me of some sprawling fantasy series where the world keeps expanding."
"This series started strong, but it seems to be growing in scope. While some readers love that, I prefer stories with a clear beginning, middle, and end. If you're like me, be aware this might be a long commitment."

Drivel
I couldn’t get to the end of book 3 what a complete waste of my time . It may as well be published under mills & Boon . It’s basically a really poorly written love story with some “Baddies” oh ye and “Goodies “ with magic talking swords which are also Baddies and goodies. . Maybe the author should try bedtime stories so then he can at least have an audience partially stimulated. Complete Drivel.
