Solid Advise
JJ Millon is on point in Mental Toughness for Athletes: How Professional Athletes Train Their Minds To Win The Game Before It Begins in that he tells the story of an athlete setting goals and following up with those goals. He also points out that these goals need to be realistic and not some blue sky goals. We really enjoyed the interactive exercises that he puts in the chapters to help get you involved in this. No matter how athletically talented you are, you will never be able to reach your potential unless you can fix the psychological issues going on in your mind, and I certainly think this book will help get you there. In order to train like a professional athlete. You have to learn how to think like a professional athlete, and this book shows you how to do that. I also think this book is good for parents and coaches alike as we go about helping our kids reach their potential. I also enjoy the narrator’s voice as he is very easy to listen to. I highly recommend this for any athlete or anyone wanting to reach their potential.

Great guide
The book is well-written, well-organized, practical, and engaging, making it enjoyable. The strategies presented in the book are actionable and can be implemented immediately, making it an invaluable resource for athletes at any level. The author explains that strengthening the muscle that is our mind makes it easier to perform physically, as most of our obstacles have roots within our minds. Yes, a positive mindset is super important.

Well thought out and motivating!
This is a great foundation for improving one’s performance and mental state. Trying to excel as an athlete with so many mental challenges is difficult but this book will save me a lot of time with the concepts and ideas. I definitely learned a lot and would recommend this book to other athletes.

Informative and Insightful
I am an athlete who is returning to activity after an extended illness. There is certainly anxiety in returning after such a long hiatus (2 years). I found this book to have many helpful strategies to deal with this anxiety. I really liked the concrete strategies provided - especially around a growth mindset and taking calculated risks. This book gives you some great techniques to strengthen your mental resilience - a key trait in every athlete.

Strategies to develop mental toughness.
A game-changer book for athletes. I love how the writer explains that not everyone is born with strong and powerful minds, but it's the practice and affirmations that makes a person stronger.
I have never heard such a topic before, but when I listened to it, I was really amazed by the work of the author for sparking a light of confidence in athletes.
I also want to appreciate the narrator for making me connect to this audiobook all the time.
