Summary

This is the book that has given thousands of sufferers new hope - a gentle, effective way to find real relief from back pain, without painkillers, without surgery, without spending days on end in bed.

Dr. John Sarno's revolutionary approach to back pain is based on his discovery that tension is the underlying cause of most back problems - leading to an often unrecognized condition called Tension Myositis Syndrome. In this book - the first to explain the psychophysiology, manifestations, and treatment of TMS - you'll find clear steps and sensible advice to help you find relief, prevent future pain...and live life fully once again.

Easy informative and engaging

Useful information. And I will use it. to reduce my back pain. Even listening helped a little if I can reduce it eliminate pain in this way instead of taking medication, then that’s a definite win.

Great theory, no practice

As usual, Sarno gives convincing arguments for validity of TMS, but this abridged version doesn't actually explain how to heal it, beyond vague gestures towards psychotherapy.

One might ask “And, How exactly?”

A fantastic report on a radical diagnosis (TMS) of back pain. But, How this is achieved… I am still left wondering.

The narrator was so engaging and clear. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to them.
