About this listen
Fulfillment, achievement, vitality, creativity, wisdom, compassion, intelligence, strength: All these are inherent to the mind as the sun is inherent to the sky. Thoughts are like clouds: they come and they go, like clouds in the sky...like rainwater that runs off the surface. Designed to accompany Mindfulness: How to Cope with Hard Things, this workbook helps it to soak in. Rainwater that soaks in can feed the roots and bring life, can feed the deep water table, and make our lives juicy again. The old Sanskrit word for this juiciness is rasa. It means literally “sapfulness”. It is used in the old texts to mean the “sap of life”, the flow of the life force - of the life principle itself - that moves through our bodies, and moves through our cosmos, in the way that sap moves through a tree.
It is when we touch into that sapfulness - that juiciness, that deep aliveness of things - that we feel most connected, most whole, and most alive. This is where fulfillment, delight, creativity and effortless action lie waiting for us. It is our natural state.
Choose a journal you love. Find the keyboard the feels right. Let’s engage the journey together and explore that life force that flows through the space in between, that rich sweetness where the rests between the notes turn our lives into music. May the journey bring you joy.
