Small town murders big time fun
What a great way for the fun to continue than by getting this three book box set. I really enjoyed it. I just finished book 21 Vandals and Yule Scandals, Yes the author is still writing books set in Pin Cherry, so it was fun to return back to the first three books and see how it all began and how the characters have developed. With 21 books written the author must be doing something right. Each story is a complete story with the cases nicely wrapped up and the plot line is very different from the last. The characters are what has me returning time and time again. They are a big quirky family that you like to spend time with, from the ghostma who likes to pop in when ever she feels like to the grumpy clue dropping cat. To name just two but to be honest there are so many I would be here all day and it's so much easier for you just to find out for yourself.
Book 1 – Fries and Alibis: is the first book and explains qHow Mitzy ends up in Pin Cherry Harbour owning a book shop with a grumpy cat and a ghost. It's a great start and introduces you to a lot of the characters, as well keeping busy by solving the murder of her grandfather.
Book 2 – Tattoos and Clues. Sees Mitzy tracking down the killer of O'Del's brother. This story was more complex with lots of twists.
Book 3 – Wings and Broken Things. When the local veterinarian is run over and left for dead, Mitzy's reputation has his family asking her to investigate. This story tugged on the heart strings for a number of reason.
I liked the narrator. She puts in a good performance that is entertaining and exciting.

So so so good!!!
I’m so glad I discovered this series! Mitzy, the main character, is someone you need to learn to love; she’s tough on the outside, but truly has a heart of gold. Ghost-ma, Pyewacket the caracal, Silas; they have all become favorite characters of mine!
If you like paracozies with lots of humor and depth, and you haven’t started this series yet, what are you waiting for?
The narrator really brings the story to life. She speaks clearly enough for me, non-English speaker, to understand, and with enough emotion to really feel the story. She did an amazing job! Excellent in every way!

Fabulous
I simply love these books. I listened to them individually when they came out and it is a real pleasure to revisit the beginning of this wonderful series. The characters are a joy Mitzy the sarky bookshop owner with psychic powers Isadora her fashionista ghost gran, Pye the Caracal with attitude and Eric the hunky Sheriff solving mysteries in the town of Pin Cherry. Hilarious mysteries with a paranormal twist and with the perfect narrator in Coleen Marlo. Worth so much more than 5 stars. I received a complimentary copy of the audio and am leaving a honest voluntary review.
