Taking on the investigation themselves, they peel back the lies and expose the sordid details of a marriage in tatters, and see firsthand how gossip and politics fuel the machinations of high society.
Meanwhile, at the Mayfair Hotel, expansion plans are on the menu, causing tensions to heat up in the kitchen between the chef and Cleo’s uncle. To make matters worse, Cleo’s family notices her spending less time at the hotel and more time investigating – and some members don’t like it.

Loved this book
The author gives a wonderful insight into Victorian life as the plot unfolds, it has many twists and turns. The main character's are definitely holding the story line and leading the novel which is well narrated, cant wait for the next book

another brilliant story brilliantly narrated.
This series has fast become a favourite of mine, and the narrator is very good. It's hard to tell it's the same person narrating all the parts. Can't wait for the next release!

Another amazing read
love this author, I always rush to get through the book as I am desperate to solve the mystery but then reread it just for fun. Perfect amount of cute romance, which doesn't interfere with the story line, but keeps you hoping for a happy ending. Not read a book from this author I haven't loved so far.
