Summary
Two weeks. One unforgettable trip to Corfu. A chance to change her life.
Becky Rose has just landed her dream job house-sitting at a top-end villa on the island of Corfu.
What could be better than two weeks lying by an infinity pool overlooking the gorgeous Ionian waters while mending her broken heart? Elias Mardas is travelling back to Corfu on business whilst dealing with his own personal demons. Late arriving in Athens, Becky and Elias have to spend a night in the Greek capital. When they have to emergency land in Kefalonia, Becky's got to decide whether to suck up the adventure and this gorgeous companion she seems to have been thrown together with, or panic about when she's going to arrive at Corfu....

Another blinder from Mandy
Really enjoyed listening to this story. Loved the feeling of escaping to Greece - take me there now!
As usual - a good mix of funny, heart warming and laugh/cry out loud!
Loved all the cookery metaphors. And all the descriptions of the foods - not sure I would like to try all of those combinations.
Will never look at cheese cake the same.
Thanks for this lovely listen.

Sorry,, I couldn’t get past the first chapter as the narration was diabolical and the story beyond boring!

Don’t waste your time
I was hoping for an escape and to be lost in descriptive narrative of a greek island.
Unfortunately what i got was a main character who was more akin to wet lettuce than the recurring theme of sandwich ingredients in the book.
I persevered hoping it would get better, it didn't.
The main character is infuriatingly banal and pathetic i completely failed to like her and didn't feel the typical attachment and connection you get when you become absorbed in a novel.
I love the chick-lit genre but this book is so disappointing, it could have been a perfect greek set novel with the usual romance and ok obligatory journey of self discovery but this book has to be the worst I've ever listened to!
my advice is AVOID IT.
