About this listen

Everett Bailey loves his job. No, really.

Well, he loves the idea of his job. It’s just that the reality of marketing isn’t a creative joy, it’s a soul-crushing corporate rat race. His boss keeps taking credit for his work, and his coworkers couldn’t be less sympathetic if they tried.

When he’s forced to use his vacation days or lose them, he visits the town he grew up in to check in on his grandparents’ old house. Just because he has time off doesn’t mean he has to waste it with cocktails and poolside relaxation. He arrives in Cider Landing, and all he can see is his lost childhood. Even more strange, he keeps seeing his first love, Peter, everywhere he looks.

Before long, though, he realizes that he’s not glimpsing his past, but a second chance to learn to fly....

Never Landing is a coming-of-age Peter Pan retelling that grapples with the trials of adult hood and the ache of missed opportunities. It was originally published on our Patreon page.

Magical

This was a wonderful story filled with faires, magic, finding old friends and love.
Best friends as kids, life separated them.
Everett grew up and lived life but that didn't happen for Peter.
When they're reunited, Peter has dreams of things being just like the past but that's not what happens because Everett has lots of questions.
I really enjoyed seeing them take things slowly and really get to know one another again and Peter finding out more about his magic.
Greg Boudreaux did an amazing job narrating and bringing these characters to life.

A Magical, Heartwarming Escape

I just finished Never Landing, and honestly, it left my heart full. This story was such a sweet, heartwarming ride — light, magical, and quietly empowering. While the romance between Peter and Everett was lovely, it was Everett's journey that really stuck with me. Watching him reclaim his life and finally stand up for himself was so satisfying. It’s rare to find a story that blends whimsy with genuine growth so effortlessly.

The premise, a fresh and thoughtful take on Peter Pan, was so original. I loved how slowly Peter and Everett built their bond — no rush, just two people truly getting to know each other as they navigated their own versions of growing up. The magic felt gentle and fitting, and the world-building around Cider Landing and the lost kids was both clever and tender. Whether still in the forest or stepping into something new, every character’s place in this world felt intentional.

It’s a low-angst, feel-good kind of story, and the ending left me smiling. If you're looking for a cozy escape with a bit of sparkle and a lot of heart, this is it.
