Summary

Books 1 and 2 in The New Earth Series by Devon C Ford.

Their plans to survive the end of humanity were meticulous. Thorough. Flawed.

They landed back on Earth hundreds of years after their expected return, and now the planet they once called home is unrecognisable. Warring tribes threaten their very survival, and members of Sierra team and Dr. David Anderson must work with their now-sentient AI to find a way to live peacefully with the survivors of the African facility.

But a greater threat than the power struggle between humans presses in on them, and they must choose sides to protect themselves from the terrifying plague sweeping over the continent during darkness.

They must find a way. They must survive The Swarm.

Fantastic book, go buy it

This is a fantastic example of sci-fi, I really enjoyed it. The narrator and story are a perfect match.

Only issue is the length of the books. Make sure you've bought book 1 and 2 together. Anything less than 9 or 10 hours is not usually worth buying.

Great books 1 & 2

Was a super narration and really enjoyable story line,
A good read on the short side if a single book but together worth it.

unbearable

This is a truly terrible book. It reads like it has been written by a 12 year old with a total lack of experience not only of life, but of books and indeed I found myself wondering if this author has ever even used a computer. The depths of his ignorance about even the very simplest concepts of programming, it's hard to believe such a person can claim to have been born since the beginning of the 20th century. Other horrendous clangers in a cacophony of clangers are unsurprisingly, physics and geography, but OH NO that's not all. This book gets the wrong end of the stick about everything it tackles, from politics, to wealth, to secrecy, and absolutely to astronomy, and everything about people... I mean, is it deliberate? How can someone know so little about literally everything. I believe this book may be the only book this author has read. I don't mean he hasn't read Dostoevsky I mean I don't think he's even read Dan Brown, I don't think he's read a magazine. I never do this but honestly, this book is a true turd. Just dreadful. Please, please at least learn how to use a computer to find things to read about ANYTHING before you pick up a pen again. This is a shocker and it should never have been recorded.
