About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

It's just a voice plucked from the air: 'The American wants a hundred million dollars'.

For what? Who from? It's 1996, and the Soviets are long gone. But now there's a new enemy. In an apartment in Hamburg, a group of smartly-dressed young Saudis are planning something big.

In the morning they gave Reacher a medal, and in the afternoon they sent him back to school.

Jack Reacher is fresh off a secret mission. The Army pats him on the back and sends him to a school with only three students: Reacher, an FBI agent, and a CIA analyst. Their assignment?

To find that American. And what he's selling. And to whom.

_________

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, Night School is 21st in the series.

"I know I say this every year. . .But. Best. Reacher. Ever." (Karin Slaughter)

Brilliant

Another top story, captured perfectly by Jeff Harding. Gripping descriptions and details tell the tale and keept me interested all the way through.

Good fast moving story <br />

Another great Reacher story. Interesting to go back in time to a period when he was still in the military. Good twists and turns. Story moved along nicely.

Another perfect performance

I always enjoyed Lee Child and Jack reacher... but Jeff really performs and makes this even more enjoyable & I didn't think that would be possible!

Yet another exciting adventure with the same twists, turns and sexual prowess as ever, but Reacher is younger, fitter and still in the army!

Another good story

This one certainly kept my interest throughout, but I found the narration difficult. I haven't read the book, but I can't believe that it is written in short sentences of half a dozen words or so..

Not the best Reacher story

A safe listen. It's good but not great. Actor performance is as good as ever and Dick Hill really is the voice of Reacher now. Story not strong and the ending lacks the punch, pace or tension as other parts of the story.

The presentation has a struggling under layer of weakness

Maybe I'm just getting bored with the simplicity of the writing style or maybe I just need more than a hidden plot. I am starting to feel the simplistic quips are repeated and relied upon too much to pad out the story.

Not the usual standard.

Not up to the usual standard but still worth a listen. Don't be swayed though.
