Summary

An ancient vampire has descended on Isherwood, Indiana, turning its townspeople into a legion of bloodthirsty monsters, and only one man can stop them. Chris Stiles, once a Vietnam War soldier, is now the ultimate vampire hunter. With the help of the ghost of his dead brother, who was killed by the monsters, and an arsenal of high-powered weaponry, Chris is ready for a new war - this time not with the Viet Cong, but against an army of the Undead!

Good vampire hunting fun.

Chris Stiles is no Van Helsing but the story is good and at times fun. the war between the living and the undead is very well played out on the streets of Isherwood, Indiana.

I've got a strimmer like this book

I pull and pull, it finally starts revs a little, then dies and i just cant get it started again.
Oh yes, Matt Godfrey is fantastic narrator.
But not even Matt can fix this strimmer.

Another Great Paperbacks From Hell Title

I've really enjoyed the Valencourt Books Paperbacks From Hell series so far. It's great to see some underappreciated horror gems get the opportunity to reach a wider audience.
Nightblood is a fun cross between 'Salem's Lot and First Blood. The book is well written with great characterization. My only issue is some of the chapters go on longer than they really need to. I think if the book had a tighter edit I would have given it full marks.
Once again, Matt Godfrey is an absolute pleasure to listen to. Definitely one of my favourite audiobook narrators.
Highly recommended.

A brilliant, if slightly dated, action horror story that is just calling for an updated movie or miniseries adaptation.

Possibly the best unknown horror novel of the past 30 years. Absolutely riveting, and intoxicating in it's story beats. A true unknown classic.
