I listen to between 3 and 5 books per week. I very rarely leave reviews. I have only just discovered this author and this is the 3rd book I have listened to. Before I purchase I generally read all the reviews and nearly did not buy this one because there were a few very bad reviews. I am happy that I ignored these people as I can only surmise they had some ulterior motive as the comments were so far off the mark they seemed vindictive. I am now going shopping for book no.4. Hopefully like the last 3 it will not dissapoint.

Enjoyed the story, was eager to find out what happened. The narration was quite irritating and Martha's voice annoyed me quite alot!

I should have listened to the preview before starting because I couldn’t stand the lead character Martha’s depressing tone and unfortunately there is a lot of it. The story is relatively good but repetitive. Several times you will hear the same character go over the same things, to the point where I thought the story had skipped back. There’s a couple of chapters as told by the judge which seem completely irrelevant to the whole story and not sufficient enough to provide any detail as to his character so unsure why they are in there? I also guessed whodunnit early on. I wouldn’t recommend. It’s a pretty depressing subject anyway and not helped by the narrators.

Okay listen but didn’t really get going. Agree with other reviews that the speakers didn’t converse at the same volume which was annoying.

Was waiting for it to get good

A brilliant story, compelling, even though I guessed the ending.
Narration was hit & miss, the sound was awful.depending on which character was speaking, especially the sisters I had to turn the volume up to the highest or lower, but worth persevering.
Will definitely be listening to more from this author, hopefully no sound issues
