Summary
He’ll risk it all to protect her.
Someone is stalking Audrey Young. And she has no idea why.
It’s bad enough that she’s back in Tilikum. But Audrey’s good at making the best of things and her new job at the small-town newspaper is just a way to get back on her feet.
Complicating matters is her landlord and new neighbor, Josiah Haven.
She doesn’t usually go for the big, surly lumberjack type. But there’s something about that broody man. He intimidates her a little, but she kind of likes it.
She could totally handle the mess that is her life, except the strange feeling of being watched is just the beginning. Next thing Audrey knows, she’s a target, and she doesn’t know who’s behind it or why.
For Josiah Haven, none of that makes her his problem.
She’s just the girl next door. Fine, the frustratingly hot girl next door. But Audrey is all sunshine, and her goofy dog isn’t any better. Josiah is too stoic. Too solitary. Too guarded. He doesn’t need a woman in his life, especially one who threatens to crack his heart wide open.
But Josiah is a protector, and he can’t let Audrey’s troubles go unanswered, even if he has to risk everything—his life and his heart—to keep her safe.
Author’s note: A grumpy loner meets his match in a sunshiney dog lover who’s a little down on her luck. And once he falls, he falls hard. It’s small-town romantic suspense with CK’s signature humor, endearing characters, and heartwarming happily ever after.
Obsession Falls can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Fantastic First Book!!
I loved the Bailey brothers series and I couldn't wait to finally start the Haven's series
Fantastic first book!! It really keeps you wanting to know more so you just cannot stop listening to it.
I really hope that the second book is about Marigold and Zackary as I've been waiting for that story since Rewriting the stars!!
I think that Claire Kingsley is an amazing writer. Her books never disappoint. She is surely my favorit author!!
i also love the fact that all her books are in audio and the narrators are all incredible as with their talent they manage to bring the author’s story and characters to life,”
Well done to Connor Crais and Ava Erickson.

Loved this new series starter
Obsession Falls marks Claire Kingsley's triumphant return to Tilikum as she launches a brand new series about the Haven brothers, former nemeses of her iconic Bailey Brothers clan.
Obsession Falls gives us the road to love for one grumpy Haven Brother, Josiah. He's both confounded and smitten with Audrey from the moment that they meet, despite his grumpy nature and her perpetual happiness. Does Josiah want to like her? No. Does he want to care about her? No. Does he want to protect her? Well, yes, but only because any self-respecting human being would want to do so, right? I loved their instant connection and the way Claire had them play off of each other's opposite personality traits.
Obsession Falls is a great romantic suspense, full of intrigue and chemistry, with a plot that keeps you engrossed in the story. And there are, of course, those Tilikum squirrels. Plus one of the most absolutely adorable puppies, Max, to ever exist.
I do want to mention that those of you familiar with Claire's works may note a that the spice meter is amped down from her previous works, but you honestly barely notice. The story, the plot, the character development, the caring, all keeps it moving and keeps you engaged, and the writing is still top-notch Claire Kingsley writing, and that is what I will always show up for.
The narration was great! Ava Erickson is simply fantastic, and really brings out the emotions of Audrey, and Connor Crais is a great Josiah. Scott Rose makes brief appearances in a featured role, and his performance really fits the part.

So slow
Slow burn. Anticlimactic. Dry and nondescriptive s3x scenes. I liked the characters but the "stalker" was silly and unrealistic.
Great narrators but if this would've been duet instead of dual, I would've rated 5 stars.
This just didn't compare to the Miles or the Bailey's and it had nothing to do with it being a Haven. I was excited for this book but it's missing something and I'm not sure what.
