Spot on narration, moving story.
Not quite as compelling as Backyard Cricket but completely worth a credit.

I was moved and upset at the same time. Not only a well written novel with a great story line but a deep insight into race and prejudice. Wasn't sure the author could
emulate The Rules of Cricket but he has shown himself to be a truly great author.

Listened to this after being blown away by Backyard Cricket and it's just totally different. Political. Menacing. Slow moving. No humour at all. It's a tough listen. Felt similar to the Secret City trilogy. I don't know. The cricket story felt real. This felt like a provocative tale.

Good grief! In what universe would a private company destroy a boat with a load of people on. Preposterous- Jack Serong’s penchant for the shocking ending ruined the book.
