Summary
He’s the goat of the NFL. She’s a hot-headed reporter who despises him. They’re in the same small town for the summer. What could possibly go wrong?
I'm more than aware of the responsibilities that come with being a quarterback in the NFL. The upside—I get to do what I love every day, which is play football. And I make more money than I know what to do with. The downside—everyone wants a piece of me, and the press stalks me ruthlessly. And one reporter in particular, Brinkley Reynolds, has crossed a line. She takes things too far. So yeah, I have her escorted out of the press conference. Imagine my surprise when the same woman walks into the coffee shop in the small town where I’ve gone to get some privacy for the summer.
I accuse her of stalking me. She calls me every name in the book before proceeding to make me feel very unwelcome in Cottonwood Cove. Her hometown. The place where she tucked tail and ran after I’d unknowingly gotten her fired.
So now, I’m public enemy number one. That’s fine with me. I’m not the biggest fan of her either. She’s equal parts stubborn and aggravating. But she happens to be the sexiest woman I’ve ever laid eyes on.
So I try to make amends. I’m not the devil after all. But she won’t give me the time of day, unless I agree to give her my story. One I’ve fought hard to protect since the day I started playing professional ball.
I don’t owe Brinkley Reynolds anything. So why am I considering giving her everything?
This is book three in the Cottonwood Cove series. Each one can be listened to as a complete stand-alone. An HEA is guaranteed!

Beautiful
In "On the Shore" by Laura Pavlov, we're taken on a captivating journey of a small-town, enemies-to-lovers romance that sizzles with intensity. The story revolves around a renowned NFL quarterback and a feisty reporter, Brinkley Reynolds, who despises him for crossing her journalistic boundaries. As fate would have it, they end up in the same small town for the summer, igniting sparks that fuel their fiery banter.
What I loved most about the audiobook was how the narrators skillfully brought these characters to life, immersing me in their world and making the emotions palpable. The chemistry between the main characters is electric, and their slow burn romance is both heartwarming and enthralling. The clever and witty banter between them added an enjoyable layer of depth to the story, keeping me engaged throughout.
Laura Pavlov's writing effortlessly weaves passion, conflict, and redemption, creating a compelling tale of love overcoming obstacles. "On the Shore" is a delightful addition to the Cottonwood Cove Series, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a heartwarming enemies-to-lovers romance with a guaranteed happily ever after.

Absolutely loved this one!
This is my third book by Laura and the third book I've absolutely loved! I can't even say which one is my favourite because they don't get better they're just all brilliant. I was so excited to get this story after hearing the epilouge of Under the Stars, and I just knew I was going to love it. Brinkley and Lincoln's story was the perfect mix of banter and steam. Their story starts out so hilarious, and how they are with each other is the perfect enemies to lovers. As always, the Reynolds family texts and interactions were spot on and really make you love each of the characters. Erin Mallon and Joe Arden were amazing as Brinkley and Lincoln. These stoires translate so well into audiobooks. Normally, I'm a read first, listen later type of person, but these audiobooks are incredible for first-timers to the story! I am so excited with the hint of who's next. It's going to be so good, just like this book!

I absolutely loved listening to this book. Both narrators did an outstanding job and I could definitely listen to Joe read just about anything!
Brinks and Lincs chemistry is delicious from the very beginning. Listening as those sparks ignited into passion brought another layer to the story which I loved.
I will not stop raving about Laura Pavlov. I have loved everything I have read and listened too. She is fantastic at writing small town romance as she has a way of drawing you in and make you invested in the whole town and it’s people. She writes the perfect balance of emotion and spice, making it really difficult to stop listening to as I always want to keep going until the book is finished.
I loved this audiobook and I highly recommend giving it a go.

Fantastic Story & Listen🎧 Compelling & Heartfelt!
It is great to be back in Laura Pavlov’s Cottonwood Cove, one of my favorite places to visit and spend time in. She created something very special when she created this world, a world with a small town charm, fabulous characters, especially the Reynolds family, their shenanigans and the camaraderie amongst them. Each book is written to stand on its own, but I recommend them all, each one as amazing as the next, stories that will not only captivate your attention but will warm your heart too. This third book is Brinkley Reynolds, a lifelong resident of Cotton Cove and a sports reporter, and Lincoln Hendrix, a NFL Quarterback and the jerk who got Brinkley fired from her job. Hendrix is at a crossroads in his career and is thinking of leaving San Francisco for another team and is staying at his agent’s home in Cottonwood Cove to regroup and think things over. Then he runs into her, the reporter who cornered him in the bathroom, the one he gave a piece of his mind to and then complained about. Brinkley had gone home after getting fired, she was not expecting to see Lincoln Hendrix again, never mind seeing him in Cottonwood Cove, but she got to tell him off for getting her fired. Lincoln tries to make it right, but she is not having any of that and when he realizes he wants to see more of Brinkley, he comes up with another idea, to give her an exclusive when he decides what team he will be playing with next season. OMG, I loved watching these two work together and get to know each other, I also loved learning more about them too. Lincoln redeems himself, shows how much heart he has and why he puts up his defenses with people he does not know. Brinkley always wanted to be a sportscaster, but as a female in a predominantly man’s world, she faces certain challenges, but she does not let that stop her from pursuing her career. This wonderfully written and plotted sports romance has the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartwarming charm, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. It is a story that movies are made of and one that puts a smile on your face. Laura Pavlov, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Erin Mallon and Joe Arden did an amazing job bringing these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who were, giving each a voice that suited them perfectly and was believable in every role they played. Erin Mallon nailed it as Brinkley, grasping all sides of her personality, from her fierce determination to make to her soft and caring side. Joe Arden was a natural portraying Lincoln, he too grasped all sides of his personality, from his defensiveness to his protective and caring side. Both were just as amazing performing the roles of the secondary characters and handling the witty dialogue with expertise and ease. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. Thank you for another amazing listen.

Can Laura Pavlov ever write a bad book?? The answer is NO!
I absolutely fell in love with the Reynolds family and have patiently been awaiting each new release! I would suggest reading this series in order as Laura leaves little clues in the epilogue of each book about the next couple. The narration from both Joe and Erin were perfect, I felt like they captured the characters very well and it made listening even more enjoyable.
Honestly I cannot fault a single thing in this story. It follows Brinkley Reynolds a sports reporter who has recently been fired because of Lincoln Hendrix an NFL player however he was not aware of this. A few months prior Binkley followed Lincoln into a bathroom to get some information from him (I promise Brinkley is not a sneaky or malicious person, you'll find out why she did this!) Lincoln has rightfully had enough of reporters trying to get the latest scoop on his personal life especially after a previous incident, he keeps to himself and doesn't share too much about himself to the media. When he decides to take a break in Cottonwood Cove a few months following the incident with Brinkley he finds her there and accuses him of stalking her. This is where the books get even better as she is a resident of this small town and everyone has her back since she got fired. I love that although Lincoln is a famous NFL player most people weren't that infatuated with him, that being said I found it really funny how the Reynolds men were struggling to hate Lincoln as he is their favourite football player.
As with any small town romance the two can't avoid each other, Lincoln decides to hire Brinkley after finding out that he was the reason she got fired. Although the air is cleared between the two he is still skeptical about fully opening up but overtime he falls for her. AARRGHHH this man is a simp, he was ready to take their relationship to the next level and was so open about it with Brinkley's family, considering how close they are to her it was lovely to see that he cared about their approval.
The banter between the MCs as well as the siblings is top tier, everything comes across so naturally and isn't forced. The group chat messages will always be my favourite thing about this series, if this family were real I'd want to be adopted by them lool. I love every character in this series and cannot wait for the final two brothers, Cage and Finn to get theirs. This series deserves waaaay more recognition and praise, I highly suggest you start it now!

Wonderful story and narration
I absolutely love coming back to Cottonwood Cove and as a huge fan of the whole family, I was waiting anxiously for Brinkley's story. Plenty of humor built on a loving and supportive family peppered with so much steam and a fantastic couple, who, after hilariously "hating" each other, couldn't stop themselves from being drawn to each other. I loved Lincoln- a character who felt real and relatable, even being the best quarterback in the league, and I adored how they came together and their relationship evolved. It felt like a slice of life story and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to have it read to me by Erin Mallon and Joe Arden who are of course, amazing. What a great way to spend a few hours!

perfect small town romance
I am obsessed with a good enemies to lovers small town romance, and this book brought them together perfectly.
This book was so sweet. I absolutely loved Brinkley and Lincoln. I really liked the concept of the story.
Once Lincoln realised that he had inadvertently lost Brinkley her job, he was mortified and tried to rectify it. Lincoln became so protective of Brinkley throughout the book, and I am always here for a protective alpha male!!
I really liked how independent Brinkley was, though she is such a strong character. She is the perfect match for Lincoln.
I listened to the audio version of this book, and the narrators really brought the story to life and made me enjoy it even more.
This book was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy, and I was hooked from the very beginning

So this one started pretty quickly for Brinkley and Lincoln. Lincoln (unknowingly) was the cause of Brinkley's fire from her reporter job when he had her escorted out of NFL press conference (which were only told of the situation and that's fine). Well he takes some R&R and ends up in her hometown in which she is a part of a popular family owns a food business. Lincoln actually feels bad he got Brinkley fired, so he's really not a bad guy! The bickering of back and forth was good and cute to watch between the two. The more they spend with each other the more their walls come down. Looking forward to more.
Narrated by Erin Mallon and Joe Arden were great.
