It’s his first night in London. And her last…
Ruby’s leaving London. She’s not running away from her ex per se, but an exciting opportunity in a new city has landed at the perfect time.
Nic is moving to London. After a bad break-up, he’s excited to see where big-city life could take him.
When a chance meeting throws the pair of them together for just one night, it’s clear that this could be the start of something special. But there’s one problem: she’s leaving, and he’s just arriving. So, after tonight, they’ll never see each other again . . . will they?
From the international bestseller comes a story of two strangers, two cities, and one night that changes everything.

Loved the story and the journey it takes. Narrators we’re easy to listen to and accents well done.

told over a very long period of time. Not my in the story line but not anything to put me off listening to the end.

Omg! Best book I’ve listened to in a long time!
Absolutely LOVED this book! Beautiful story, brought to life by fantastic narrators. I had all but given up on finding a 10/10 book as it seems I’ve listened to them all. Then I found this one! Highly recommend.. it’s everything ❤️

Too much sex
Probably aimed at a slightly younger audience I found the story a little too much about a physical relationship and not enough story. Actually made me cringe at times and no prude. As I listen on Audible in my car I think it felt more obvious!
Story was ok. Ended up stopping at 6hrs because I just didn't care.

Beaches of Seville 🙈
It was all going so well until the character said the beaches of Seville! Seville is landlocked not a beach in sight you'd think they'd have checked this first and if not why did the editor not say anything? After that it's all I could think of.

Laura Jane Williams doesn’t disappoint
I’ve really enjoyed all of Laura Jane William’s books and this is another wonderful story with well constructed characters and plot. I found some of the accents a little patchy but not enough to put me off.

Beautifully written and narrated
Highly recommend this book. Not the usual tripe, boy meets girl, one of them gets pissed off over some misunderstanding, they get back together in the last 5 minutes of the book. This had substance, it was sad, emotional, witty and actually believable! Narrators were very good too, an added bonus.

Really good
Lovely story. Wasn’t particularly predictable (like most chick lit), a couple of moments really surprised me and even though I knew where it would eventually end up, there were plenty of twists on the road to getting there.
I really like Laura Jane Williams’ writing style, and I love the switching between narrators. If I had to have any criticism, it’s the fact that she uses the word ‘tummy’, which I hate because it’s a word only little kids should use.
Other than that, it’s a lovely story. The characters are really well written and easy to fall in love with, the narration is great from both of the actors. If you like romance novels, this is a great one.
