About this listen
Tia never harmed anyone. So why does someone want to destroy her?
Tia is walking home with her children, along the lakeside of their quiet, safe town, when she realizes something is wrong with her five-year-old daughter, Rosie. She seems troubled, not at all her usual happy self.
But when Tia finally coaxes Rosie to open up, she wishes she hadn’t. Because her sweet daughter asks a question Tia never thought she’d hear.
"Mummy, why did you kill someone?"
Tia knows how rumors spread around her small town. She just can’t understand who would have shared such a horrible story. Or why.
It can’t have anything to do with what happened. Only her two best friends really remember that….
Tia thought she could trust Fiona and Kelly with her life. They’ve been through so much together. But when she’s sent photos of herself that could tear her whole world apart, she starts to wonder. Someone is determined to punish her. But who? And will her friends stand by her, or will the past destroy all of their lives?
From the million-copy-bestselling author of The Secret Mother and The Perfect Family, this absolutely addictive psychological thriller is guaranteed to make you gasp. If you loved Gone Girl, The Girl on the Train and Big Little Lies this book is for you.

"Enthralling…leaves you gasping for air…. If you haven’t read anything by this author, then you really should. Be warned though as her books are highly addictive…. You won’t be going anywhere until you get to the last word." (Bytheletterbookreviews)
"Oooh!…. Another stunning read from the very talented Shalini. Boy has she done it again!" (Nicki’s Book Blog)

Great performance
The reader really brings this book to life, keeping you listening for hours and hours.
Unfortunately although the story is good the ending is a bit predictable.

It's ok
If you push through the first few chapters it becomes bearable, but I won't be re-visiting this book anytime soon

An easy listen , very predictable
Very obvious from the start what was happening but an easy listen. Good if you don’t want to concentrate on anything too deep.

Just silly !
I couldn't write a book, so power to those that do. But this was really bad. The characters were unlikeable and the story a bit silly. These 3 ladies were meant to be school friends, but there was no warmth between them whatsoever. And then they each decided to go meet someone in the dead of night without telling anyone, when weird stuff has been happening to them. Oh dear ladies, However, I ended up listening until almost the end so it obviously had something that held my attention,

Overall a good listen
This started well although a bit confusing at the start due to narrators voice. Each character sounded similar initially until I listened carefully for the names. Two thirds through I had figured out the ending and was wishing it would hurry up. The ending seemed quite rushed and poor. A good story to listen to in the background.
