About this listen
Random House presents the unabridged downloadable audiobook edition of My Lives: From Del Boy to Granville, Pop Larkin to Frost by David Jason.
In his first book, David Jason told us about himself from his early years training as an electrician through to making it as one of Britain's actors. This autumn, in a follow-up autobiography, he tells us about the many other lives he has lived - his characters. From Del Boy to Granville, Pop Larkin to Frost, he takes us behind the scenes and under the skins of some of the best loved acts of his career. And in the process he reflects on how those characters changed his life, too. The result, told with his characteristic charm and wit, is both funny and poignant, honest and heartwarming.

perfect easy listening
it's a shame David Jason didn't narrate the whole book (only the intro) but Michael Stevens does a great job and still brings the stories to life. found myself hanging on every sentence as I remembered the stories in my own mind and wondered if David Jason enjoyed them too. definitely recommend

Heartwarming and honest
Slightly disappointed that David only introduces the book, but never the less a fascinating listen and a cracking insight to the Man behind frost and Del boy. I have listened to both his books and would recommend them to anyone. From very humble beginnings, he's a man that can't help but be working class. He seems very honest , witty and down to earth and there are some interesting things uncovered in both books that I am sure even the staunchest fan didn't know.

Disappointed not to hear DJ longer
Misleading cover promotion and it was a real shame not to have David narrate more than the first 5 mins of intro. Narration was good but just not the same. Recently listened to John Cleeses' autobiography and he narrated the whole thing for audible which really added to the listening experience.

A must-have for any Only Fools / 80s-90s-20's TV fan! Everybody!
I first fell in love with the work of David Jason when he provided the voice for Danger Mouse.
I watched all of Only Fools of Horses when I was 5 (in 1992) it was a programme I got to share with my grandparents who raised me.
Now when I watch it - whenever I watch it, it not only entertains me but reminds me of them and how lucky I was to have them and their influence.
I can't also help but feel how lucky I was to have David Jason, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Leonard Pearce, Buster Merryfield and their influence.
Wonderful.

A very enjoyable listen, but it's not David Jason
Sir David Jason is one of Britain's best loved actors. He has created many memorable characters from Granville in Open All Hours, DI Jack Frost and of course Del Trotter. That means that his autobiography should be an interesting listen, and indeed it is. However, potential purchasers should be aware that David Jason only reads the preface, the rest of the book is read by Michael Fenton Stevens, who does an excellent job, and manages to adapt his voice to the rhythm of Sir David very well indeed. Although I think I would have preferred the author to narrate his own autobiography this omission does not diminish from the enjoyment of the story.
