A must read for the peri menopause

This book is packed full of easy to do, practical advice for a healthy lifestyle during the menopausal years. Kate is reassuring and enables confidence and belief that these years and bodily changes are not to be dreaded, rather a time to flourish

Everything I needed in one book!

I have read a few menopause books but there is nothing like this one. The best part of it for me is that Kate has given us everything we need to implement sustainable lifestyle changes. She has included a pdf, menus, recipes and even gives us access to a 30 day programme of exercises to follow..beginners and intermediate! I'm feeling excited to get started :)

Best book for menopause fitness

I have followed Kate on insta for a while and love her approach to fitness and strength in the menopause.
The QR code gives access to the videos, and they are pretty tough - for context, I’m a Pilates teacher and think of myself as pretty fit yet I found this challenging so I had to adapt (cheat!) initially but very soon could do the full versions of the exercises. 2 weeks in and I’m feeling so strong, I’m sleeping like a log and can see and feel changes already.

New information and clearer explanations

I really enjoyed this book and am half way through the beginners 30 day plan
I have been in peri menopause for about 4 years and have read much research information over that time. This book has clarified many questions for me and provided reasoned explanations for the way this life stage makes us feel - thank you

Hard to listen to

To be honest, not a lot we don't already know. But the hardest thing is listening to the narrator read lists and lists of exercises that mean absolutely nothing. I like to listen when I'm driving or walking but listening to a list of exercises, number of reps, number of sets, repeatedly over and over is the most boring listen and means nothing to the listener.

This entire book could have been condensed to about 3 chapters.

The accompanying PDF is poorly illustrated. For someone who is new to weight bearing exercises, the illustrations are inadequate and in danger of causing injury.

Overall, very disappointed!
