Summary

A beautiful nurse. A lethal injection. A gruesomely charred corpse.

Nothing could have shocked the sleepy community of Morgantown, West Virginia, more than the lurid details that surfaced after a house fire claimed the life of Shelly Michael's husband, Jimmy. Local authorities suspected possible arson. Then they discovered that Jimmy had been dead before the fire even started - paralyzed by a fatal dose of muscle relaxant....

Did Shelly Michael, a respected nurse and mother, kill her second husband and torch her own home? Were the rumors true that she'd had an affair with her husband's employee only two weeks before the murder? Or did she kill Jimmy simply for the insurance money? Charged with first-degree murder and first-degree arson, Shelly would never stop claiming her innocence - even to this day.

She did it….

I love this narrator far better than the other male who reads similar books to this by this Author

1.”This is the only man I ever loved.?” I don’t think so because you would not have been unfaithful to him if he was, you would have moved heaven and earth to make it right….not kill him.

2. Just her attitude to wards everything said against her, plus you would not be cuddling in your lovers arms while your husbands dead and waiting for an autopsy
3. The lies…..so many lies…
4. No tears, until you get found guilt which took almost 3 years……….

I could go on, she where she should be, plus where she should stay. If this one gets out someone else is gonna die….

Interesting story

I enjoyed listening to this story, but I am still undecided as to Shelly's guilt.

I really like the detail of all of Glatt's books. A deep dive everytime. Thoroughly enjoyable. I recommend The List Girls too.

well researched

First Rate

Stunning storytelling from john glatt. Im working my way through john glatt books. What she did was so senseless and depraved. Murder seems to be the new divorce. Author drew me me, kept me gripped from start to finish. Shaun grindell is one of my favourire narrators, his performance was flawless. Would highly recommend.
