About this listen
Rowe Prince is many things.
Gorgeous? Yes.
Unintentionally hilarious? Absolutely.
The hottest, sunshiniest virgin to ever set foot in Manhattan? Oh, yeah.
One thing he’s not, though, is a reclusive billionaire named Sterling Chase who supposedly founded my company. So when the man (literally) stumbles into a charity gala saying precisely that, I do what anyone would: I set out to prove he’s a liar.
Except it turns out Rowe’s ridiculous falsehoods are surprisingly… enchanting. The heart of gold beneath his borrowed tux makes even a jaded businessman like me start to believe in fairy tales. And there’s no faking the heat between us when the man’s in my bed.
But when it turns out Rowe’s lies conceal a secret that threatens the company I’ve spent years building, I have to choose: say goodbye to the sweet pretender I’m falling for, or risk everything for a man who just might be… the prince of lies.
©2023 Lucy Lennox (P)2023 Lucy LennoxFrom the moment Roe goes to the ball in his cousins clown tuxedo, pulls a never ending multi coloured hanky, you can’t help but fall in love with him. There’s some real laugh out loud moments and I never wanted it to end
Brilliant. - funny and lots of twists

The storyline was original and interesting because others besides Rowe knew his character at the fundraiser was a fake and it was just too delightful to witness. There were many funny moments and despite his lies, for which Rowe has good reasons, he is very likeable, full of drive and zest for life and in between he is delightfully naive, which brought a smile to my face more than once. A protagonist you quickly take to your heart - at least I did.
I also liked Bash immensely, because he doesn't immediately blow the charade, but has a very enjoyable evening instead of the very boring expected evening.
The story scores with its characters and that includes the secondary protagonists, namely Bash's brothers, who I would love to learn more about. I also found the mix of humor, warmth, romance, drama and suspense as well as the incipient feelings very successful.
The audiobook captivated me from the beginning and I listened to it in just two days because I was dying to know what happened next.
Michael Dean was fantastic and brought the audiobook to life with his voice and performance. He found appropriate voices for the different characters and he portrayed the emotions just brilliantly. He was an absolute pleasure to listen to and now I can't wait to listen to more volumes with the brothers!
Adorably charming

I laughed so much. Got so miffed off at the morning meeting opportunist. And I literally swooned, with tears! ugh, sooo good... I started it late at night (I know I know 🤦🏻♀️) and literally struggled to try get some sleep, the classic, "just 1 more chapter" 😅, I finished this book with the biggest bags under my eyes, but I'm sure I gained another laugh line, so it worked out well. Lucy and Michael never fail, and are 1 of the best Audio combos. And I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series 🥰
lol & swoon

It's a fun read/listen.
Will he get away with lying about his name, job, and just about everything?
Rowe lies to get into a swanky work gala, and once his first lie is out, he has no choice but to continue.
An endearing story, well worth the read/listen, and, as always, a great book by Lucy Lennox. It's a story that will keep you entertained and laugh from start to finish.
Michael Dean is a great narrator and doesn't disappoint, and I did speed up to 1.20 on Audible.

🎧📚🎧And for the terrific narration, Michael Dean did a great job bringing these characters and did so with a complete understanding of who they were and his portrayal of them was spot on. He set the perfect tone for the story, handled the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor effortlessly. Michael Dean is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to.
