About this listen

They say love is all you need.

They’re wrong.

Sometimes, no matter how much you want to stop it from happening, you have to watch the person you love most in the world slip through your fingers. Even when it feels entirely wrong, you can still find yourself sitting in a lawyer’s office with your spouse, negotiating the terms of your divorce.

It doesn’t matter that she’s the only woman I’ve ever loved. Or that we both meant it when we promised each other forever. It matters even less that she can still make my knees weak with nothing more than a smile. None of that is enough to fix the things we’ve spent a lifetime together breaking.

We were meant to be together but destined to be apart. So we’re doing just that—separating our joined lives into two distinct, single ones. An amicable uncoupling. Or so it appears on the surface.

Only it’s not so easy to extricate yourself from someone who’s been a part of your life for two decades. It’s even harder to deny the physical attraction that’s still there, simmering underneath the surface. If only we didn’t have so much baggage, maybe we could enjoy some no-strings fun to take the edge off the whole divorce situation.

That thought is exactly how I wind up doing the unthinkable: having an affair.

With my wife.

With my family on one side and my wife on the other, I’m torn between what I should do and what I want to do. Torn between my head and my heart.

No matter what I decide, one thing is for certain: There is no such thing as no-strings-attached when the object of your infatuation is also the love of your life.

Wow.
I absolutely LOVED every second of this book. It’s was so beautifully written by Sadie. I put off starting this book because I wasn’t that interested in Ambers & Elijah’s story but oh my word what was I thinking?
I love how much these two loved each other & im so glad Sadie didn’t write in a side character/ dating other people trope.

Joe Arden made this next level with his narration.

5 stars and will be relistening ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really good story that’s a bit different. Both narrators are excellent as always and a nice we appearance by Shane Ryan.

Sadie Kincaid does it again, I felt every bit of Elijah and Amber's pain as their marriage fell apart and they found their way back to each other. highly recommend.

Really enjoyed how the James brothers stories weave into each other. Have read Nathan and Drake’s story too. Looking forward to Maddox and Mason’s

Nice change to other stories

This was a beautifully written love story of a couple rediscovering their love and themselves. I dare say it is a different style for Sadie. Very emotional, with some moments of angst. But she pulled it off very nicely! Im really enjoying the series. Joe Arden has done a fantastic job with the narration.

Lovely, emotional story

An emotional beautiful story about Amber and Elijah (my favourite James brother). Superb narration from Joe and Sarah. Thank you Sadie, 5/5 Stars.

A beautiful story.

A beautiful story, without a doubt one of my favourite Sadie Kincaid books. Both narrators were amazing, they had me blubbering like a baby. Strongly recommend this listen.

I loved this book about Amber and Elijah! It was cleverly done and an unusual plot, but the ending could have been more concise.

I could completely understand why Amber withdrew, becoming the ice queen, and a difficult character to like. Having said this, she grew on me as she found herself and thank goodness for her gran!

Elijah is smoking hot and the best of the bunch so far! He was, however stupid for not picking up her signals and I don't think I would have been as forgiving!

What I don't quite understand is for such a close knit family, how there can be so many miscommunications. I could have strangled Drake for all the heartache he caused and Nathan for being an insensitive idiot!

The narration was perfect!

Bam Bam - Hot or what?! !

I’ve always loved a marriage-in-trouble and second-chance romance, so I was excited for Amber and Elijah’s story after glimpsing their tension in the last two books. Rebound delivered exactly what I was hoping for: angst, heat, and all the emotional complexity that comes with loving someone even when everything feels broken.
The whole “secret affair while divorcing” angle made their connection even more intense. Their chemistry was off the charts, but beyond the passion, their emotional journey was what truly stood out. The pacing kept me gripped.
Sarah and Joe’s duet narration truly brought Amber and Elijah’s story to life, delivering an incredible performance.
