Listening to Todd's story at the beginning, I completely understand this reasonings and messages behind his forever going quotes, all of which are recycled.
His story is capturing, and I can imagine it's not been easy with everything he described happening in his life, so I'm sure over the year's and decades he like many of us have listen to and been inspired by motivations speakers like Zig Ziggler, Tony Robbins, Les Brown and so on, and I feel in some respects it's humbling that I can understand these quotes in the context they're trying to be portraits, but I feel in so many aspects this book is just recycling heavily repeated quotes from motivational speaker, to motivational speaker, without giving concrete story, subtext or meaning behind the quotes. Whilst listening to them I just felt like they wasn't authentic to him, maybe just having them in because it sounds good and may have applied at some point in your life, or ways to fill out the book.
I thought as a three and a half hour book this would be an easy listen, something I could breeze through but I've had to stop half way through chapter seven as I don't waste another hour listening to this.
Maybe others have a different perspective, that's just my take on it.
An ok listen, but I had to stop.
