About this listen
Free yourself from the pains of the past… and powerfully create a life you can love now and in the future.
Everyone knows there is no such thing as a perfect childhood. Since it’s typically about trial and error, the whole experience can be pretty challenging, stressful, and even jarring.
When you were a child, your mind and heart were extra fragile and vulnerable. Even with the best parenting in the world, you probably learned some unhelpful or unhealthy behavior that you carried on as an adult.
That connection you have to your child self and your childhood memories–especially negative or traumatic ones–is known as your “inner child.” And when left unhealed, your inner child can heavily influence your own parenting style, affecting your kids in turn.
How do you know if your inner child is unhealed? You will see the signs:
* Do you have toxic habits you just can’t break?
* Do people ride roughshod over you… and you always come last after their needs?
* Does it feel like you are walking an emotional highwire of irritability, anger, or sadness, and you never know when you might fall?
Most of these stem from unresolved childhood experiences… but this should not be your life sentence. With some compassion and patience, you can start to heal and transform. You can break the cycle of pain and suffering for yourself and future generations.
Looking at your childhood with the compassionate eyes of a mature and conscious adult, you can recognize where you needed something more. With the help of this guide, you don’t have to wonder if you’ll ever get over the bad experiences of the past or ever be free of their hold on you. Every single exercise, reflection, or action you take as you listen to this book will help create positive shifts in your life that will have beneficial ripple effects echoing constructively on every level of your world.
It’s time to look forward to a happy and shining future… because you deserve to enjoy the beauty, excitement, and peace life offers.

Great for Anyone Healing from Childhood Trauma!
The audiobook 'Reparenting Your Wounded Inner Child', authored by Leigh W. Hart, is a deeply compassionate and nurturing resource, especially valuable for individuals grappling with the aftermath of childhood trauma or the challenges of growing up with a narcissistic parent. The insights and guidance provided in this book are unparalleled, potentially offering perspectives and therapeutic avenues not typically explored in personal therapy sessions. Ideal for those seeking healing from a challenging upbringing, Hart approaches sensitive subjects with a profound sense of empathy and understanding, offering practical advice for self-care and the healing process.
I could also download and print out worksheets and journal pages, which was awesome! It really helped me do the interactive elements, exercises, and journal prompts suggested in the book. If you're on a journey of self-discovery and healing, this book might be the companion you need.

Very insightful
This book was a very good tool to better understand that childhood trauma can impact you well into adulthood but doesn't have to. It helps to guide you through recognizing the issues that need to be addressed, address them, and move forward in a productive and healthy manner. There are very useful prompts to provoke thinking and journaling. I think anyone, serious about delving into this topic in their own life, will benefit from this book.

Valuable and actionable steps to a happier life
This book explains why the past and old wounds can effect and impact our day-to-day lives so much and it if full of great advice, tips and tools to help us get to grips with that inner child.
It shows us that we can re-write the story explaining how to remove the old coping mechanisms that we do’t need anymore and that hold us back - and they form the basis of the 7 steps within the book.
From self-love, compassion, and positive self image as we discover how to find a positive Bridget between the self we are today and the wounded inner child bringing - ending negative patterns.
It has lots of practical examples, easy to do understand tools, so that we understand why and honour younger self can have so much impact on who we ‘think’ we are - and even how we parent ourselves. The objective of it all is to find that inner peace and remove the negative out-dated views we have of ourself that are no longer required and that are rooted in past trauma's - big or small - that we interpreted as a child and kept hold of into our adult life.
Full of resources, each chapter includes exercises, reflections, and journal prompts to help the journey of self-discovery and healing, and it even has downloadable worksheets and journal pages which really helps to imbed the learning and track progress.
It's a great and valuable book, delivering the insights needed for personal growth and emotional strength - and a much happier life. And it is all done is such an accessible and understanding way. Really enjoyed it!
