Summary

"I don't need you to rescue me."

Tiberius "The Beast" Caulville is the bad boy of the NFL: an arrogant PR nightmare who doesn't care about his public image. But when an off-season fight lands him in hot water, he's forced to hide out in Hidden Creek and clean up his act with the help of the one person who doesn't buy it.

Caleb Brower has lived in the shadow of his manipulative ex-boyfriend for years. One breakout client will give him the freedom he needs, if he can withstand that client's outrageously inappropriate behavior. But Caleb is used to entitled athletes, and can tell there's more to Ty than the mask he wears.

Volunteering at his uncle's dog rescue could save Ty - or bury him under the fears he thought he'd left behind. Caleb can't help being drawn to the broken man beneath the bluster, and soon business gets personal. Can he show the rest of the world the sweetheart Ty really is?

Welcome to Hidden Creek, Texas, where the heart knows what it wants, and where true love lives happily ever after. Every Men of Hidden Creek novel can be enjoyed on its own, but keep an eye out for familiar faces around town! This audiobook contains a pair of irresistible rescue dogs, a Beast who's really a softie, and plenty of healing for two lost souls.

Loving Nick J Russo!

I’m enjoying this series - although they are all set in Hidden Creek, they’re definitely stand alone and can be read in any order.

Alison Hendricks is a fairly new Author to me and I enjoyed this story. I liked both Ty and Caleb as MC’s, there was more to both of them than I imagined when I read the blurb for this book. And of course, anything with dogs in is a winner for me!!!

Nick J Russo just gets better and better, I love his narration. He nails these characters and I felt every emotion in his voice. Brilliant!

Wonderful slow burner full of emotion and tension

Such a wonderful story to read, full of drama, tension and adorable dogs! I'd probably say this was a slow burn but it definitely combusts when the two MC's come together.
Ty has been removed from the public eye after yet another altercation in the public. He's such a troubled soul and my heart really went out to him, especially with his response to his uncle and the dogs. Calebis fighting for his independence and to get out from his ex boyfriend's thumb both in his personal and professional life. His new client is hard work but he's determined to do everything above board and honestly. There's an instant attraction between the two men but their work relationship is a work in progress. Alison does a wonderful job of drawing you into the story and drawing out the emotion of both men as we work through the book, especially as they come to trust one another and share their personal histories. The descriptions of the characters and the world around them made it really easy to imagine and follow the journey that the two men went on.
I love the interaction that we get between Ty, Caleb and characters from books that we've already met in the series. The books can absolutely be read as a stand alone, there is just an occasional crossover of characters and the Summer Fair happens in all the books.
Another recommendation from me for this series. Wonderfully written with a lot going on for both men, engaging the reader and holding your attention throughout.
Nick has done another wonderful job in narrating two very different men and the supporting cast. Both men have a lot going on inside and he gives a lot of emotion to everything that they are experiencing in the moment and with their past. Nick brings out the heart of Ty and Caleb and I felt really close to them as we move through the story and as their relationship slowly develops

Finding His Place.

MM, Sports Themed, Small Town, Contemporary, Romance. Easy to listen to emotional story set within Hidden Creek. I thoroughly enjoyed reading their story and watching them get their HEA, a stand-alone read within the series.

Slow burning love

We are back in Hidden Creek a gem of a Texan town that is so inclusive it makes you want to live there. This is the fourth season of this wonderful multi-author series.

Ty ‘the beast’ is an NFL linebacker and in trouble again, so he goes to his uncle’s in Hidden Creek to lie low. Caleb is the PR man hired to help Ty’s image, he’s trying to start again after splitting from his ex and his ex’s firm.

After a slow tension filled start these very different men find common ground on which to work, they build on this finding away to represent Ty in a new light, even when outside sources are determined to tear them down.

This is a sweet but drama filled book about second chances with every scene stolen by a cute pup. Ty and Caleb have a lust driven dynamic which makes the narrative by Nick J. Russo so good between them. This is a really good book and is so worth listening to.

What a great story!

Alison Hendricks brings us back to Hidden Creek with the endearing story of Tiberius “the Beast” Caulville, professional football player, always in the eye of the storm for his “bad behaviour”, and Caleb Brower, the PR hired to “clean” his image while staying at Ty’s uncle ranch in Hidden Creek.
Soon Caleb will discover that Ty’s bad boy façade is just that, and will try his hardest to redeem Ty, while simultaneously falling for him.
This is the beautiful story of two broken men finding their strength while leaning on each other. Caleb’s awful ex-boyfriend tries his best to ruin Ty’s reputation and to lure Caleb back in his claws. There’s a whole lot of rescued dogs which are just as battered as the two MCs.
Alison Hendricks writing is engaging and keeps you chained to the book and Nick J Russo’s performance is just the added cherry on top of the cake!

Caleb to the rescue...

Ty is the troublemaker. He has a bad rep and the bad boy. Always in a bind. Nobody knows the truth though. Until Caleb. He is the PR guy who has the monumental task of clearing Ty’s name but is that the only thing he will do. Ty is a good guy with a but of temper. I understand why and feel for him. The romance is super hot. It’s kind of a slow burn and worth the wait. I was rooting for these two... all the way! Nick Russo is one good narrator.

Captivating

This story hooked me in from the very beginning, the narration was fantastic and made Ty and Caleb come to life.

Ty is known as the Beast for the way he performs on and off the football pitch but he really is a big softie looking for someone to share his life with. Caleb is facing the world on his own after getting out from under the clutches of his ex, he's vulnerable but up for the challenge. Together they help each other face whatever life throws at them and it really is a beautiful story. They had intense chemistry and although they are steamy together its their emotional connection I loved the most, these guys are just too cute!

The Hidden Creek series is wonderful and I loved the little snippets of previous books included in Rescue, can't wait for the next instalment.

Great story

This is a great story of being able to overcome fears and the results of living in an abusive relationship. We quickly learn that Ty uses his beast persona to keep people at a distance and to protect others. Caleb is brought in to help manage Ty’s public relations. He also needs to come to terms with abuse from his ex boyfriend. I felt for both of them. I liked that the story highlights different types of abuse and how hard it is to face the fears arising from it. The poor abused dogs stole my heart and it was lovely how Ty and Caleb helps them trust again. Serious subject which is handled so well.
Nick J Russo is a pleasure to listen to. He performs the story rather than just narrating it. I really got a sense of both Ty and Caleb’s personalities.

Saving Love

I was lucky to get promo audio codes for this whole season of Hidden Creek. Nick J. Russo is an excellent narrator and he does a wonderful job of giving the guys a voice. I love how well-devloped all the men of hidden Creek are and Alison Hendricks characters are no exception. This was a heart-warming tale as the two guys get past their past and learn to come together by saving more than each other. Highly recommended for all lovers of Contemporary MM romance.

Multiple rescues make for a heart warming tale

Ty (also known as the Beast) is sent to his uncles to be out the limelight and attempt to regain some control back over his PR nightmare of a life. He hires PR man Caleb, because at the meeting he didn’t seem to be the usual type of PR yes man. However there’s lots of hurt in both men’s pasts, even if it hasn’t been fully realised. And it may take the love of some rescue pups to make everything come clear.

I really enjoyed Rescue. Both main characters were believable and nicely multifaceted - no plain old cookie cutter character cut outs here. The dogs were adorable (because yay doggies!) and really helped to make the story and move it forward.

The narration was enjoyable, some narrators I find just irritate me and make a book un-listenable but not Russo. I’m loving Hidden Creek and want to move in!
