Summary
The man the New York State attorney general credited with inspiring her prosecution of Donald Trump—New York Times number one best-selling author Michael Cohen—tells the behind-the-scenes story of what can happen to you—and what really happened to him—when a president who believes himself to be above the law decides to go after his critics....
When Michael Cohen's secret payoff to porn star Stormy Daniels on behalf of Donald Trump made Cohen look like a liability to the by-then-president of the United States, the end to their decade-long relationship came swiftly—with a knock on the door from the FBI. Soon, Cohen would find himself imprisoned—even though he had plenty of evidence to show he was innocent of most of the charges. Meanwhile, with the release of the Steele Dossier, Cohen also found himself battling endless news reports citing the dossier claims that he had clandestine dealings with Russia—reports that only mounted despite his exoneration by the Mueller Report.
In a story now being echoed in recent breaking news stories about IRS persecution of other Trump foes such as former FBI head James Comey and others, Cohen details—in his inimitable blunt language, with absolutely no holds barred and naming names—his attempt to clear his name and tell the truth about Donald Trump. Chillingly, he also makes clear what happens when you try to speak truth to power, and the power knows no bounds.

an amazing insight
an amazing insight into the truth.
meidas touch podcasts led me to this and I'm so glad I came. I would've preferred Micheal Cohen himself of narrated but that weren't the end of the world. I'm humbled that Mr Cohen is not giving up his fight.
A brilliant book.

A fascinating insight
Although I'd heard a lot of the information contained in this book from Michael himself via his Mea Culpa podcasts it was useful and interesting to hear it presented in chronological order. The additional details provided further insight into a heinous abuse of power.

Interesting’& scary at the same time
Firstly I think the book would have been better received had it been read by the author as he did with his book disloyal. It was unnerving to understand how a president’s power could influence the Dept of Justice when they are supposed to be independent branch of the executive. What Michael went through was terrible and injustice. The fact that individual 1 has never been prosecuted is beyond me,and utterly infuriates me.
As Michael said if it could happen to him it could happen to anyone-and that’s a very scary thought!

Frightening and sobering indictment of corruption.
I absolutely loved this book. I'm generally a fiction reader but after hearing Michael on Midas Touch YouTube I really wanted to know more about him and what had actually happened, not what had been reported in the press. It is a frightening nightmare from which he is hopefully going to find some peace. Yes he made a mistake, but his fight for truth and democracy will save him ultimately.

How the orange mussolini is the worst pos
I wasn't a fan of Cohen when he was a lap boy for Chubby Don but now he has redeemed himself with honour.
My only complaint is he didn't read it as he has New York passion
with 4 indictments we can hope justice matters

Woeful waste of a credit
Don't waste your time all I heard was a bad man winge about how a bad man stiffed him.. Wining from start to finish and there's nothing in the book about anything the diacription said it would

Great audio book shame about the narrator.
I think Michael Cohen is an amazing guy and I love everything he stands for. Would have been a great listen if not for the poor quality of the narration which in the main I believe was as a result of an appalling narrator.
