About this listen
Julia Wolf’s Rocked, is an emotional and sexy rock star romance written in K. Bromberg’s Everyday Heroes World.
What happens when a star begins to fade?
My life’s a mess. Record sales are plummeting and my inspiration has flown the coop. I’d do anything to climb back to the top of the rock music charts, even temporarily relocating to a small town to clear my head.
What I didn’t count on is the pretty paramedic named Kat next door who takes an instant dislike to me. Nor did I ever think I’d enjoy hanging out with her quirky, 12-year-old daughter and a dog who doesn’t believe the rules apply to him.
My new neighbor is strong, heroic, and unlike any woman I’ve ever met. I should stay away - and focus on reviving my career - but that’s become impossible when I can’t stop thinking about her.
Kat makes me want things I’ve never dreamed of before. She’s tempting me to give up the spotlight, which is crazy since she’s not asking me to stay and I know I can’t.
So why does the thought of walking away make me feel more faded than ever?

Enjoyable

A rock star who’s lost his way, a strong mother who’s an EMT and her confident daughter make this an enjoyable story. Disliked the nicknames: lady and “little sister” (since he’s dating “little sister’s” mother).
Liked the main characters’ relationships with their exes - nice to have them be decent people. Liked how the main characters felt real.
Listened to the audiobook and narration was too slow and sluggish - listened at 1.8-2x speed. Male narrator was great and female narrator wasn’t as clear and was harder to understand.

It took me way longer than I want to admit that this about Devon from Misconception which was the very first book by this author I ever read. That personal embarrassment aside, I couldn't put this down. Despite how awful he was then he really puts his all into redeeming himself and being there for Kat. Kat is such a strong, independent heroine and she has the best kid I've read in a book in ages. I don't know how Ms. Wolf makes her biggest douchebags the biggest heroes but she's done did it again and completely blown me away yet again in the process. Loved this a lot.

Lovely audio!
A great combination of jaded, out of synch rockstar and a feisty, caring neighbour, make this an easy, fun listen. I loved Devon and Kat. Kat is so honest and devoted, to her job as well as her daughter. Ellie is a delight, who made the story even brighter. Both Alexander Neal and Lacy Laurel brought the book to life, capturing the characters so well. I loved it! 💖💖💖💖
