The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

While the story was not my cup of tea, the author did a fantastic job putting us in the mind of teenagers on the brink of entering adulthood. The narrator did a fantastic job and really brought life to each character.

Eloquent

The book was well written, although some parts seemed overly long. I have to say it is not my cup of tea, there being far too much teenage angst and fumblings for my liking but I am sure it will be popular amongst the older teenagers. All the growing pains of youth rather overshadowed the very promising plot which only really came to the front near the end when my attention was really captured. It did however leave me wanting to know what happened next, and also I think I might have got more out of the story had I read books 1-3 first and become familiar with the richly painted characters. However I did love the young girl who narrated the book. She had a few strange pronunciations in there but a lovely sing-song voice which carried the book along well.

Well suited to older teenagers

At first I had no idea what on earth to make of this book. I found the scenes disconnected and,, on the surface shallow but that’s actually not the case. i stuck with it and found that it is really verry deep and obviously a lot of thought has gone in to its apparently chaotic construction until finally i think I figured out the author’s intention. it’s deep really and scattered like the emotions of teenagers exploring their identities but it’s even more than that. I haven’t read any of the first three books in the series so i might be utterly wrong in what i’m saying but I find it intriguing and fascinating in an odd sort of way. it’s a long way from what I usually read but not bad for all that. Thought provokint, I think this book needs to be read more than once to really get the full measure of it. the performance leaves a bit to be desired though. Repeated lines and mispronounced words throughout leave one slightly irritated but stick with it despite the naration. I think it’s well worth the time taken to really explore this book.

Good book lots of twists and turns the guys are leaving school for university will be interesting to see how the books go forward

The final school year brings intrigue, love, lust, angst and clarity to the teenagers as the outside world becomes a greater part of their lives. In another wonderfully crafted and executed novel the author treats us to those tumulus teenage emotions through the eyes of her characters. The dialogue and inner voices are natural and expertly narrated to the listener. There's even a dramatic twist at the end of the tale, enjoy.

I thought this was a good book. The narrator did great speaking voices but could work on her reading voice a little. It was a little hard to follow her accent at times too but I enjoyed how realistic it was and I love accents!
I was given this book for an honest review.
